Eh, Santana's had flashes in his career where he was among the best. I think that's a little unfair to use the whole "Baseball!!" thing in regards to him but I get the sentiment

What are we talking about here? Wins, K's, ERA, WHIP, WAR?

Well if Machado goes to NYY it will translate over there and do we REALLY need more Yankees/Red Sox **** shoved down our throats year in and year out?

I really hope Machado doesn't put on pinstripes anytime soon.

He may put on pinstripes but they could be red.

I'd be cool with that. I have a soft spot for the Phillies and what they're trying to accomplish with their rebuild. I just hope they don't go too crazy with free agency and forget that you have to have a solid mix of homegrown talent to go with the high priced free agent talent.

If Maikel Franco doesn't start showing his potential by that free agent period it is quite possible the Phillies throw Machado whatever he wants. Phillies also have former Orioles execs in their front office now like Andy Macphail. Andy has said they would like to develop the pitching and buy the bats if needed when the time is right.

                Cards and Brewers rained out.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Did anyone see the "triple play" in last night's Red Sox/O's game? Where were those umpires in the 2012 NL Wild Card game? No, I'm not bitter...

The umpires blew the call last night...it should've been an infield fly like the game you referenced.

Also: Just spoke with MLB chief baseball officer Joe Torre. No pre-game warnings for #RedSox, #Orioles tonight. Sale suspension likely. Story soon (From Ken Rosenthal)

So is Bundy and the dude that threw a Benintendi's head gunna miss time too?

Oh, I know...I just wish they'd been there to blow the call in 2012. That's why I put "triple play" in quotes!

Apparently Rob Manfred has reached out to both teams and essentially told them to cut the ****. Some think that if there's any shenanigans tonight, the suspensions could be longer than usual.

Anything to cut down on these horridly long baseball games. Can't take it anymore.

If Manfred did that than good on him. I bet this game will go on without incident tonight.

I see once again I am against the crowd here. I hate Manfred getting into this. I loved the animosity between the two teams, I made it appointment viewing to watch this series after the one a couple weekends ago.

Also LOL on the comments from Torre on Bundy hitting Betts on Monday night. Love how Baltimore is getting the benefit of the doubt while Boston, did it on purpose.

I honestly think all this stuff needs to go...I say that these warnings umps give when they realize it's intentional throwing at players need to stop. If the umpire feels it's intentional, eject the player and the manager immediately - no warning - and it's an automatic suspension for the manager and player for future games. We're not in 1960 anymore...throwing 100 mph at a guy is not an formidable means of revenge.

While we're at it, I'd like MLB to look at how the NBA does things where if a player leaves the dugout or bullpen it is an automatic suspension.
