I've been thoroughly impressed with Allen Cordoba this year for the Padres. Rule 5 pick who hasn't played above rookie ball and is hitting .309

            - What the heck is up with Franco in Philly? He's looking at this 3rd straight "declining" season...he looked like a can't miss player when he came up, but every at bat I see he looks lost at the plate.

            - It's crazy how "human" Jake Arietta looks these days. He had pinpoint control in 2015, slipped a bit in the 2nd half last year, but he's really struggling this year. If he doesn't turn it around, his FA stock will have taken huge hit...
Franco pretty much has until the end of next season to prove himself or the Phillies will be opening the checkbook to give Manny Machado whatever he wants.

I don't see this Cubs team, in this form, repeating.

Hmm, maybe the Jays won't be selling players this summer after all.

I don't think they'll be in this form for much longer. But in the end it doesn't matter in my mind. I don't think they make it through the NL, much less repeat.

Jed Lowry took 5 pitches and was called out on strikes (below).

The A's pretty much played 10 vs 9.

MLB home plate umpiring has been terrible in the games I've watched this year.

Add to that the many head scratching instant replay decisions I think MLB has an umpiring problem.

The umpire late in the Toronto game was giving some fairly generous calls off the plate to Texas as well.

Let's try this again... Jays opening the roof for first time this year.... The 3rd time they've claimed this but had to close the last 2 due to rain.

That's a great pitchers pitch. It's right on the outside corner or the black edge of home plate.

Stole second and on the slide possibly broke his hand...we'll see, maybe it's just a precaution.
