Josh Donaldson would be a nice get but I don't want to pay that price

Snitker lets Garcia stay in with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, and the pitcher delivers a 2 RBI base hit. Huh.

And Inciarte ties it with a homer the very next pitch. Nice to see the offense wake up a little bit.

I thought this was pretty cool...the highest BABIP ever recorded by a batter in a season was Babe Ruth's 1923 season in which he hit .426 on balls in play. This season, Judge is hitting .427 on balls in play. Going to be interesting to see if he can hang on and beat Ruth!

That was sudden. I think he was hitting around .333 in Iowa?

Anyway, big Home series vs. Milwaukee is already off to a shaky start.

Edit: Nope, it's a makeup game. Disregard.

I had read that he might be back this weekend. I was expecting after the ASB. Hopefully he's figured something out.

4-0 Crew 3rd inning. Good thing this isn't a series - doesn't seem like the Cubs are ready to play them.

Yeah Montgomery has nothing. 7-0 now, same inning.

Cubs losing 9-0 at home to Milwaukee, they load the bases with nobody out only for Bryant to nearly ground into a DP, Rizzo to pop out and Happ to swing through a bunch of change ups. 9-1 now, woo hoo!

I really don't understand what's happened to the Cubs this year. I mean, I expected them to drop off a bit what with the World Series hangover but they're a young enough team that they should be at least legitimate contenders rather than playing like they're sleepwalking through the year. Great talent can only take you so far when you're not going on all cylinders.

Looks left, looks right, and looks behind.

Yep, Brewers still in 1st place after July 4th.

Braun goes out, and they plug Perez in LF.

Thames cools off, Agular(sp) steps up.

Anderson shuts down, Suter steps up.

Villar goes down and sucks eggs in hitting, Sogard arrives.

                      Plug n play.

The SP pitching has been a tear the last week.

Well well, the Blue Jays showing some life tonight!

Hopefully they can ride this momentum over the next little while.

Braves-Nats had a 2-hour rain delay tonight with one thing missing: rain.

                          What a joke.

Didn't need the tarp....not a bit of lightning in the area, just ridiculous.

The delay was dumb but all these fans and media types acting like it's the most offensive thing in the history of sports and bitching on and off the air for hours on end is absurd and embarrassing.

The radar showed rain in the area. The radar still shows rain in the area. So they expected it to move over the area and they decided to delay to try to avoid it and it didn't materialize. Big ****ing whoop.

Also, thanks for nothing Diamondbacks. *******s.
