Devers is one of 8 left-handed batters to have multiple hits off of Chapman.

No, not this season, in Chapman's career.

What an annoying night of baseball. I thought the Yankees got a bunch of bullpen help so their bullpen wouldn't be full of piece of **** jabroni losers.

And speaking of piece of **** jabroni losers, the Angels gave up a walkoff grand slam for the third time in a month. Good job.

Joc Pederson's locker at Comerica Park is empty. He's probably ticketed for AAA with Granderson being activated today.

Damn that sucks for him. Probably means he'd be left off the playoff roster, too. What an up and down career he's had so far

Kudos to the Blue Jays fans. It sounds like they have a pretty significant amount at Wrigley this weekend.

Ya, it's easy for jays fans to travel when they're not just located in Toronto, but all over the country. For many fans, these ballparks are closer than Toronto. And helps that jays made playoffs last year so people more inclined to spend, especially when it's a ballpark they probably haven't been to in their lives.

MLB umpires wearing wrist bands in solidarity for "escalated verbal attacks from players."

                  Cute.

It will be fascinating to see if the Dodgers continue what they are doing in the regular season into the post-season. I see no reason that they can't...a first round or LCS exit would really put a damper on what has been a historic season.

Speaking of historic, Judge is one game away from setting the record for most consecutive games with a strikeout. He's currently at 35, tied with Montreal PITCHER Bill Stoneman.

Tonight, he's going up against the MLB Strikeout leader in Chris Sale.

Chapman has been taken out of the closer role. Good.

It would, but tournaments aren't meant to crown the best team.

Anyone have a site that allows you to see all team's records from a certain date to whenever? I'd be curious to see who has the worst record the last 6 weeks or since the all-star break. Last time I was keeping count the Barves were around 6-19 in their last 25.

Agreed...one of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of the way baseball playoffs work these days. That said, all the Dodgers have done will pretty much go for naught (see the 2001 Mariners) if they don't win it all. Trust me, as a Braves fan I've had to listen to plenty of "only one WS title" despite being the best team in baseball several times and coming up short in the "tourney".
