Red Sox win their 14th extra inning game, one away from the team record for most in a season.

Watching Matt Harvey these days is sad...man is a shell of his former self. I doubt we ever see him as he was in 2012-2013.

On another note, I really enjoyed the Twins/Yankees game tonight...really had a playoff type feel to it. It's a big series for both teams. Huge for the Red Sox to rally and win like they did to keep the Yankees at bay...should be a fun race to the finish between these two.

And Tom McCarthy ruins the call by yelling out "What a grand!"

"What a grand?" Da **** is that?

Aaron Judge is 2 strikeouts away from passing Kris Bryant for most ever by a rookie.

Interesting note I saw on TV. Judge has homered against every single AL team this year except the Royals.

The Yankees also face the Royals 1 more time this year in a make-up game.

As of the start of play today MLB is 15 HRs shy of the all time record for dingers hit in a single season.

It's fun but I still like homers to be at a premium. So many players right now have zero business hitting as many as they have this year. Of course, I actually like when games are 2-1 with dominant pitching.

Yeah I think we are going to see that record broken

Agreed. I like small ball and strategy. I enjoy watching dominant pitching performances. But in today's game they feel as though they need the long ball to encourage more people to watch.

Schwarber kinda likes this whole DH thing.

And Alex Gordon breaks the record.

5,694 homers this year, most all time for a single season.
