    Re: 9/11 - 9/24 Game Discussion Thread

2018 schedules released. With the exception of the 2009 World Series, the Yankees are playing the Phillies in Philadelphia for the first time since 2006. Really surprised it's taken that long for them to play here in the regular season considering the Phillies have played them in New York about 3 times over the last 11 seasons.

In a game filled with traditions, @Cincy should always be game #1.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

So stoked for the day the Cubs will begin scoring runs again. I know that day is coming. I think.

I know, I know...the Braves are out of contention, so it really doesn't matter, but man this team has been fun to watch since Albies/Swanson came back up. With an infield of Camargo, Swanson, Albies, and Freeman the Braves lead the league in offense over the last month.

Add Acuna to this team and the amount of staggering pitching prospects just waiting to get their chance makes me feel that I can't help but think we're about to turn the corner.

Hanging almost 100 pitches on the starter through 4....these are the Cubs I like to see.

The Indians have won 20 in a row.

26 by the 1916 Giants is the most in the modern era (1900). I'd really like to see the Indians top that.

Yep, I am pretty good at this. When I get mad at the team they break out. When I get cocky, they get swept. It's pretty much all me.

6 more wins to tie it? Heck, they might not allow another run for 6 more games.

Love how Tommy La Stella and Ian Happ have hired Javy Baez for extra help with their HR interviews in the dugout. Javy is now manning the air camera.

To be fair, that's 26 without a loss. They won 17, tied 1, then won the next 8. The 1935 Cubs have the record for consecutive wins at 21.

Also, the Indians' win streak is the same number of wins the 1899 Cleveland Spiders had the entire season.

2 more home runs tonight for Rhys Hoskins to give him 16 in 32 games. Incredible!

Dodgers fall behind early with Tomlinson taking Kershaw deep. Cueto somehow has 77 pitches thru 3 IP.

Your 2017 Minnesota Twins are the first team in MLB history to homer in each of the first 7 innings of a game.

On the ugly side of that coin, the Padres are the first team in MLB history to give up a homer in each of the first 7 innings.

Want the Cubs to DFA Justin Wilson so bad. He is not even fit to be called garbage. Worst trade to "bolster" the bullpen of all time.

You couldn't ask a small child to point to the screen any more randomly than Wilson's pitches are landing.
