Yea I can live with Espinosa being a stop gap. Or maybe we can call our old pal Jeets and get back Castro for peanuts.

This trade was made to clear some more space for the Royals to try and re-sign Eric Hosmer.

As for the A's, Buchter has some value and wouldn't expect him to stay around in Oakland for very long (he does still have 4 years of control though). Not sure what the plan would be with Moss though. They already have a 1B and and DH and way too many Outfielders currently.

LA Times reporting the reason for a delay in Darvish signing is that he wants to return to the Dodgers. He has been waiting to see if they can clear some money to be able to afford him. Will be interesting to see if this has legs...I didn't see him back in LA after his post-season performance.

Great another big market team to help squash that little glimmer of hope i still have that the Twins could sign him. I just want him to sign at this point even if its not with the Twins, sick of getting my hopes up. I think it would be a huge get for them to help a blossoming offense thats going to keep getting better. One can only hope...

If anyone can catch the replays of this evening's MLB Tonight episode I suggest you do because there was a GREAT conversation between Matt Yallof and Dan O'Dowd about the market and the future of long term contracts.

BTW I'm really liking how they're utilizing Yallof in these mini 1-on-1 interviews. I'm guessing due to his stroke he can't do full hosting duties? Anyways it's a good utilization of his skills.

Won't happen unless we can find a taker for Matt Kemp. There are conflicting reports on that front. Some are saying the are having a hard time finding a taker, and others are saying there are at least 4 teams willing to take a look at him. He has lost a bunch of weight this off season and very well could be a Dodger opening day if he plays well in ST.

A's are looking to flip Brandon Moss. Texas could use a 1B unless they plan on giving Joey Gallo a shot at the everyday 1B job.

Steamer just doesn’t like them, just as it didn’t a year ago. And, to be fair, ZiPS is higher on the Brewers, and that’ll be reflected when we get everything uploaded into our system. Between today and opening day, the Brewers’ team projection will improve, unless something catastrophic takes place.

If they don't get Hosmer back, I wonder if they'd think about trying to reacquire Morales.

Rangers reporter also said he wants to return to Texas, so who knows what is accurate.

Well, I'm pretty confident that it's a stove we're dealing with here. I think. That's as far as I'm willing to go. It might just be a slab of cold metal. Has anyone checked for burners?

Reds have signed David Hernandez to a 2 year deal.

I highly, highly doubt it happens but if JD Martinez's price dips enough, I really hope the Braves decide to go for him.
