Which is even more interesting when you remember that in college, Seth Romero was suspended his sophomore year for being out of shape, then suspended his junior year for failing a drug test and posting a picture of himself in uniform holding a bong, then 2 days after he was reinstated he was kicked off the team for good for fighting with a teammate.
So, tough break for a good kid?

Yeah, this kid was trouble from the get-go. You would hope that he'd grow up and learn to be a decent guy on and off the field but I guess not.

I find this especially interesting because in an OOTP 18 save I'm playing, I drafted him ninth overall and he's developed into a five star player and he's already made an ASG at 26 Y.O. So maybe there's hope yet IRL, lol.

Unfortunately these stories are more common than you think. I had a college teammate that was our conference Freshman of the Year, Freshman All-American, etc. Got kicked out of school his Soph year for failing drug tests. Transferred to a JuCo, failed two more drug tests and got kicked out. Still got drafted in the top 10 rounds, failed FIVE more drug tests in 4 years of pro ball before the organization released him.

When I played basketball at the JUCO level I saw a lot of this play out. Also witnessed cover ups by coaches as well. Some of these kids are just enabled by the adults around them, but instead of being taught a lesson coaches keep the talented kids around mistake after mistake.

I also saw this stuff at the University level as well, but not as drastic like it was when I was at a JC.

Sheesh, this is just depressing to read.

I know it doesn't mean anything but I'm happy my Yanks are doing well so far in the spring.

Cardinals have played 12 games this Spring, with 2 of them ending in ties.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Split squad games are confusing if you aren't aware of them happening lol.

I kept getting updates for the Red Sox-Twins game, that they're losing 5-1.

I just got an update saying the Red Sox game is tied at 1 at the end of the 3rd.

They're playing Philly in that one.

I know it won't happen. But man I wish Tatis and Urias would break camp with the big club

Edit - Tatis singles off Bumgarner. 1-1

Wow am I beyond sick for The Rays Franchise at this point. Can’t think of a fan base having a tougher stretch than this.

Speaking of the Rays, there's speculation they're gonna go with a 4 man rotation. As a traditionalist I want this to work but I know it probably won't. Now the whole 6 man rotation idea being tried out by the Angels and Rangers (at least those are the two teams i'm hearing about) is something that needs to die a quick and ruthless death.

Another Rays pitcher bites the dust... Jose De Leon to have TJ surgery.
