Re: 5/7 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
Read an article this morning on Acuna/Albies...a few wow's regarding Acuna:
- Jose Reyes has known Acuna since he was 4...because Acuna was hanging around the clubhouse when Reyes was in the minor leagues with Acuna Sr. back in 2002. That's just...wow."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Jose Reyes is the last person I want hanging around Ronald Acuna. Hopefully he learned jack **** from that punk.Comment

LOL Ronald Acuna is actually kind of a D*** in real life. I've got some stories from Spring Training this year from a few people and their experiences with him.Comment

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

That's one of many occasions. Have also heard he's a cocky guy and has blown off teammates in the past.
Some of this could be due to his age and a language barrier being in another country, but yeah he's not as nice of a guy as he looks on TV.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 05-11-2018, 02:00 PM.Comment

That must be why Atlanta wanted Acuna stuck to Andruw's hip in ST.

Well considering that Acuna calls himself the abuser because of what he does to the baseball it's not that far off to believe that he can be a dick in real life. He sounds like a real POS from what little was told here. I'm hoping it's youth and a language barrier issue for him.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I still can't get used to Joe Maddon matching up with Ricky Renteria in these Chicago games. I realize that Renteria's had a lot of time to come to terms with his exit from the North Side, but I can't help but feel a little bad for the guy and how it went down.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I don't mind the EL ABUSADOR thing either, as long as it's properly contextualized. There's nothing wrong with the actual word "abuser," it just has some pretty serious and heavy connotations. Perfectly normal people abuse all manner of inanimate objects on a daily basis. Nothing wrong with that.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I wouldn't go quite that far...a 20-year-old kid telling someone to **** off over autographs isn't the biggest deal in the world. Maybe it was Pat Neshek after all? Fans can be assbags as well, so we'd need to know more about the situation to properly assess it.
