Things going according to plan here. Loved Randy Rosario's outing. Nice start for Q, although still pretty homer prone. Heyward's AB against Hader was a game-changer. Turning Milwaukee's strength (the bullpen) into its weakness tonight. Hopefully putting the Crew into 2nd place for good.

I think Heyward was bodysnatched and an alien is taking his ABs. That's the most plausible explanation. 3 hits for "Heyward" tonight. He's hitting .312 since May 1st.

Really like his mechanics. His hands are finally staying high and staying there when he starts his swing (no added motion) so he can drive down to ball. A deep LCF double that hits the wall against a lefty is a great sign.

The funniest part of this analysis is that this is what he's been trying to correct for the last two years. He's been way too steep to the ball as a Cub so he never gets on plane with it to square a ball up with the right barrel path.

I haven't paid much attention to his swing so I'm not sure what has changed but whatever it is, hopefully it stays for the last 5 years of that contract.

Anyone watching this Pirates-Diamondbacks game? It's ridiculous.

Apparently there is this "bad blood bean ball" thing going on dating back to their series in Pittsburgh. So the Pirates are up 5-0 in the bottom of the 7th and decide to plunk the first Dbacks hitter who comes up, and apparently it awoke a sleeping giant as they scored five runs in that inning and proceeded to score four more runs in the bottom of the 8th. They are currently up 9-5, and are about to close it out.

Oh, and Boxberger nailed the first Pirates batter in the 9th inning only to get him out on a ground ball double play the next at-bat.

                EDIT: Welp, game over.

                  Re: 6/4 - 6/17 Game Discussion Thread

Last several years, his hands kept moving and would pull in towards his body when he started his swing so he was always rushing to get to the ball and had little power...he still allows his hands to get close to his body (thus jamming himself) but he's definitely making an adjustment to try to keep his hands away from his body and keep them still.

                  Idk...just me though.

I feel like Heyward's body is naturally opening up its front side more. He would keep everything far too closed previously.

Heyward's been handling heat really well this season but off a lefty is still really stunning. is this for real?

Hoping he's changed because I love him but, no I'm not buying it it. Too much proof and too much history otherwise. Hope I'm wrong though.

Pirates bullpen is horrible, they need to clean house coaching staff wise after this year.

Chatwood on the bump and Milwaukee takes an early 2-0 lead in the 1st. Still batting. That's not surprising, but that Chatwood has yet to walk a batter is very surprising. I mean he's already recorded 2 outs.
