The sub 300 poles were terrible, but CF was a thing of beauty. Was one of my favorite parks to play in in the All Star Baseball games.

Don't really see a trade thread yet, so I'll put this here:

I keep reading about Machado to the Braves...I just don't see it. First off, we won't be able to re-sign him so he's a rental. Secondly, the only prospect at this point that I'd be fine parting with is Austin Riley (only because I think Camargo can be fine long term and Machado would take over at 3B for this year). The pitchers they want will be more valuable to the long term future of the franchise than 2+ months of Machado...it will be interesting to see what happens.

Stat of the Day: Bryce Harper has 39 hitless games so far this year. He had 29 all of last season.

I'm just glad the Braves play in the NL East because they are too inconsistent this year, but the rest of the division is so bad they're still in 1st.

The bullpen is who we thought they were...they have been awful for a month now. They lost tonight because they only scored 2 runs, but it doesn't help when you let a game go from manageable to out of reach like that.

Eh, pen has been awful, but you need your starter to go more than 3 innings without getting yanked for giving up 4 runs and you need to actually need someone not named Albies to get a hit. Stretches like these last 3 games are going to be apart of the growing pains with a youth movement like what we're seeing.

The Orioles are 24-62. I'd really hate to be in that clubhouse right now. They are 6 games worse than their pythag. win expectancy (so much for the genius of Buck Showalter).

The 2018 Orioles are on pace to be the worst team in Orioles franchise history going back to them being the Milwaukee Brewers in 1901. The current .2791 winning percentage is just ever so slightly lower than the 43-111 (.2792) St. Louis Browns juggernaut from 1939.

I don't think you can really blame Showalter for this trainwreck of a team right now. Honestly, he should've been let go after last season and the team blown up. Unfortunately, ownership and management thought otherwise. I think Duquete's (sp) contract is also up at the end of this season so this team could look radically different from the front office on down.

Wouldn't even blame DD for the situation. If anything blame Peter Angelos he's the guy that can't seem to let go of players.

Machado should have been traded last year. They have held onto him for too long and now they wont get nearly the return they should have gotten had they traded him a year ago. Same goes with Givens and Britton etc......

Yup, if not last year then at least in the off season, as they can't really have looked at the AL East this year and thought "you never know, we could win this". All they did was waste the value of their players.

Same probably goes for the Blue Jays as well but from what you hear, they are more financially dependent on keeping up appearances of being a team trying their best to compete.

Doesn't help that Machado has been horrible defensively at SS, too.

                              -20 DRS is atrocious.

Why is Showalter keeping him there?

Who else do they have to play SS full-time? I think they went all in with Machado there without a backup plan.
