Machado should have been traded last year. They have held onto him for too long and now they wont get nearly the return they should have gotten had they traded him a year ago. Same goes with Givens and Britton etc......

So...what I'm hearing is the O's are a really well run organization.

This is probably the first time I've been nervous going into a series with the Reds in quite a while. It's now very clear that they're playing some good baseball, and have a chance to make life miserable for the other Central teams.

Cubs have been scoring some runs lately too though. Probably going to be a very offensive series at Wrigley.

KB still not back in the lineup.

Yeah, what is that? First it's just a little nothing he got from swinging too much to combat his slump. Then he apparently got it sliding into a base a few weeks earlier. Then he was going to be on the DL the minimum and come back during the Tigers series...now? I'm sensing a weird pattern here. Same thing with Darvish where things just keep escalating. Bad luck?

        At least CJ is back.

I think Duquete's (sp) contract is also up at the end of this season so this team could look radically different from the front office on down.
I'm not blaming Buck for the O's being a terrible team. But, I am pinning them being 6 games worse than their run expectancy on him. Maybe it's not fair, but everyone was crediting him (and their bullpen to be fair) when they were many games above their expected W/L record a few years back.

Well as others have said it seems they went all in on this idea BUT this is what Machado wanted. Do you really want him whining if he's put back at 3B? That would make an already crappy locker room even more agitated and ready to blow up. Might as well placate his ego and let whoever lands him in the future deal with that ego trip.

Zobrist absolutely crushed that ball - "barreled" status according to Statcast. Wind keeps it in the park and only allows one run to score.

9th inning, tying run at 1st - Bryant is really unavailable if he's not pinch hitting here.

Reds win 3-2. They absolutely cannot be treated like a last-place team right now.

I can assume this is about Fowler and the comments Mo made (while he was on paternity leave, so that's kind of a double whammy), but that was several days ago. Any new developments since then?

Good grief, the Braves are in a funk. I was worried about this stretch of the schedule, but they could be playing a rookie ball team and it wouldn’t matter right now.
