Pederson makes that diving catch on Pujols and Buck says "did he survive the ground though...let's go to Mike Pereira" and I fully expected FOX was going to have him in studio to analyze the catch.

I'm not sure. Let's break it down.

Pirates aren't in last place so it counts.

Cincinnati though is not playing like a last place team, making the Pirates the de facto last time place team.

Good teams are expected to win against last place teams.

Phillies are a good team.

Nope doesn't count.

LOL. The Pirates are just a mess right now. Being an A's fan in this city is pretty rewarding right now even though they need a massive fallout from the Mariners or the Astros (oh and the Angels to stay where they are as if it wasn't long enough odds).

Just curious....I seem to remember in previous years there would be a separate thread for ASG festivities....is that still a thing or is the ASG included in the 7/2-7/15 games?

So... Wil Myers is the only Padre who came to Arizona wanting to play.

Speaking of which, the Padres have been on the road a lot so it seems. I'm betting they have a couple of long homestands coming up?

EDIT: Wow, it's even worse than I thought. I went to their schedule to see what's upcoming, but I was more interested in what happened prior to.

On their schedule this year from June 8th to July 8th, they show a grand total of five home games. In the middle of the summer in San Diego, people can't even go to watch their team play. Or maybe that's the point: that they don't have very many weather troubles regardless of the season and that they can afford to play in April and September while still having a good climate.

Even still, that's pretty sad.
