Speaking of the Padres, who are getting hammered 20-5 by the Snakes right now, I just noticed that Phil Hughes is a relief pitcher for San Diego now. And not a particularly good one. Hmm.

Yeah, I don't know what MLB was thinking when they gave the Padres that June schedule.

For the first time in almost a decade, three teams scored 15+ runs on the same day.

10 am games are something I'll never get used to. But hey, scoring in the 1st is a novel idea.

It's the only thing in the sports world that keeps me sane in the morning. I couldn't imagine living on the east coast and having the first games start at 1:00 PM... so much so that I once made a thread about it.

lol, and I'm sure people on the east coast feel same way about the west coast. Hard to imagine watching a game at 10am.

Or a weekday game at 4pm.

Anyone who is able to, watch Stephen Vogt's son throw the first pitch of the Braves-Brewers game. It is the most adorable thing I've seen all week. Not just throwing it, but also running up to the mound.

But what about a 10:00 PM late night game?

I'd rather stay up late rather than be alert and watching a game at 10 AM.

In other news, Man, that Ryan Borucki kid is something else! 3 straight very nice starts to begin his career and 2 of the 3 teams are legit squads. I have high hopes for this guy moving forward. Hopefully he doesn't flame out like some of the others i've pinned my hopes on in the past.

Start time does matter though, A's just keep clobbering the ball on the road.

Well, that was a pretty crappy series against the Yanks. At least Borucki made it somewhat worth the aches and pains.

The Braves need tomorrow's off day in the worst way possible. They're just not playing good baseball right now.

A's join the 50 win crowd with a series win in Cleveland. On to Huston for 4 and the big test.

Jed matches career high 16 HR and its not even the break. The dude must go to the AS game.

At least the Phillies lost to a AA team today so the Braves won't lose 1st place. I know the AL Central has worse records, but I don't know if they are actually worse than the NL East. They both have a good argument for being the worst collection of teams in the league right now.
