As for Lorenzen, the guy might have the biggest arms in the game. Dude is a beast. It would be interesting to see how he'd do as a full-time starting pitcher/position player.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I still don't like the pronunciation of Senzel. It shouldn't rhyme with Denzel like it does.

Anyway nice for Yu Darvish to FINALLY get a win at Wrigley. Loved the way he pitched today, cool to see him show some emotion and not look like a lost animal on the mound. A 1-2-3 ninth for Kimbrel is a encouraging as wellChicago Cubs

Re: 7/11 - 7/21 Game Discussion Thread
Kind of a shame he's seen as somewhat of a disappointment as he's had a pretty solid career all told. All the hype surrounding some of these guys really puts a cloud on a reasonably successful big league career. I'd put Bryce Harper in the same boat. He's been really good but it's practically impossible to live up to the "Sports Illustrated cover at 16" type of hype“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: 7/11 - 7/21 Game Discussion Thread
I'd say Harper batting below .250 in two of the last 3 years also has been a bit disappointing. He's also only batting in the .250's right now in this year. I think that is where a bit of the disappointment comes from. He was never expected to be some all-world .310+ hitter, but batting in the .250's or below was not where he was supposed to be either.Chicago Cubs

Another barn burner in Coors field.....is it just me or has it been even more...."Coors field-ish" this year? Seems like there have been even more wild scores than the past few years.
This win also makes things a bit more interesting for the Giants, who are now only 2.5 GB of a wild card spot and playing good ball recently.....still tough to see them as legitimate contenders though.Chicago Cubs

How would you prefer it pronounced? I can't think of another way

Not sure if you mean big in actual size, but the dude is absolutely yoked on top of throwing gas.

Not sure if they are the only team without a no-no, but regardless they'll have to wait as Paddack served up a solo shot to Starlin Castro to leadoff the 8thChicago Cubs

On the other side of the coin, the Oakland A's have gone the longest without being no-hit. The last time they were on the short end of one was the day Tyler Skaggs was born (it was the Cubs 50-year streak that lasted 7,920 games).Last edited by TripleCrown9; 07-17-2019, 09:00 PM.Boston Red Sox
