I say move Kotsay back to his natural position, which was RF before he came to the Padres.

Re: Im so happy right now....BYE BYE Cameron (METS)
Well, I could only see this trade as leverage and money to sign Delgado.
I don't think the Mets would trade Cameron(who agreed to play RF if Beltran was landed) just to accomodate him.
It has to be to free up money to land Delgado...I hope....because the alternative is....UGH...then trading Floyd for Sosa....the lesser of two evils.
At any rate....Minaya is doing a simply spectacular job this off season.
I would guess the Mets offer 4 years 44 million to Delgado. I think it's the extra year he wants and not the extra money(compared to Florida's 3 year 35 million offering)
Considering the Mets don't have anyone who is looking to be at 1B at Shea from their own farm system in the next 2 years....not a bad signing.

Re: Im so happy right now....BYE BYE Cameron (METS)
Diddint know Cameron agreed to play right....
I still wonder whose best for that team though, and it WOULD cut costs. Don't underestimate the move in outfield positions on a players D, as many players have taken a decent amount of time to adjust to the different angle of the ball coming at them. Even if he makes the smooth transition, I still like Byrnes more...never liked Cameron as a hitter, and I think with his change, the D is near a wash....bad company 'till the day I die.Comment

whats really hysterical is that Bud Selig is getting upset w/ the "skyrocketing" salaries & that the thinking is that the Mets are a major reason behind it.. i guess 1) he's been asleep the past several years or 2) just pretty stupid.. i mean he's only been complaining this year, whereby the Yanks had a huge payroll the past several years.. hmmm.Comment
