For those of you on here that are bashing Cameron, let's remember that he played his butt off for us last year and has taken a ton of time to do community projects around NYC and the surrounding communities. From what I've heard, he's second only to John Franco in the amount of time he gives up to help others.

Cameron is a class act. If he wants to leave, that's fine, but don't be so quick to bash the guy. I can only hope those players that we are bringing in will be as big a class act as Cameron.

we are not bashing him for what he does off the field, but for someone who keeps flip flopping what he wants to do, i think he deserves it.. if someone does not want to be on the Mets, i say "bye bye"..

I'll say bye bye too, but some on here are bashing the young man like crazy. At least he's asking for the trade now, in January. Instead of pulling this crap in season.

also, how about his brilliant decision to put off wrist surgery, which he injured in Sept, to mid December.. which means now that he wouldnt be ready until the end of April at best.

I thought that was joint decision with the Mets trainer. I hold them both at fault for that one.

Nobody wants a whiner in the clubhouse, especially not one as wishy-washy as Cameron.

Byrnes should do well in the revamped New York lineup, and is very good defensively.
Pretty much. New York will love Byrnes' gritty play in their outfield, and he's an underrated defender. I hate to see him leave Oakland though, he seemed to fit well.
