First little flavor of strategy with the new reliever rule; Delin Betances just gave up a single to Austin Riley, who was his 3rd batter faced. Snitker calls on pinch hitter Matt Adams and of course Luis Rojas calls on a LHP out of the bullpen.
I think I'd hold onto Adams as a pinch hitter in a spot where I knew the other team had to leave the RHP in the game...or use him to pinch hit for Riley one batter earlier. Some interesting quandaries presented to a manager.

He needs to forget about his MVP dreams and focus on just putting the ball in play.
Braves need to use strategy since the bats are terrible right now. If the defense is going to leave holes open, then use it. Get runners on base and put pressure on the pitchers. Freeman has a runner on 1st and 1 out and the whole left side of the field open. A dribbler to the outfield puts a runner on 3rd and maybe Freddie gets to 2nd. Instead he pulls it into the shift for a double play.

First look at the new extra inning rules; not sure how I feel about it. Yep feels like you are expected to score. You really should with a runner on 2nd and no outs.
Look what happens when the Braves put the ball in play. Glad the bottom of the order was up and not the top in the 10th.
