feels so weird that there is a full crowd at this Rangers/Jays Game. but its a nice sight to see, fans in the stands again.

Weird thing about all this, despite going over a year with things a certain way, the second things go back to normal, we'll probably feel like nothing's changed and get readjusted to things so quickly because that was life we've lived for 95%+ of our lives.Comment

Rangers already warming up a pitcher in the bullpen in 1st inning, with their starter throwing 35 pitches. Could've been more but that was a questionable 3rd strike call to end the inning.
The shadows in the Rangers new ballpark looks weird.
This is a mid afternoon game in Texas, and the field is covered in shadows, but crowd seems to be in sun. Lighting just seems off.Last edited by Majingir; 04-05-2021, 03:29 PM.Comment

The ump today is weird.
He has delayed reactions to calls, and seems to be calling strikes in the other battersbox. I'd love to see the pitch by pitch breakdown of his calls.
Every strikeout, he takes the meaning "punchout" to an almost literal definition.
Rangers have struck out the Jays 7 times through 3 innings, but allowed 4 runs.
Elsewhere, Twins winning 15-1 over Tigers, only a single home run and it was a solo shot.Last edited by Majingir; 04-05-2021, 04:01 PM.Comment

I dont agree with the Rangers decision to "open the stadium, sell however many tickets we can".
However, one thing I do like which I could see being a thing even for 2022 is having "socially distanced sections". Like if they section off a part of the stadium where nobody except those with tickets for the section can even access, whether it be the seats or concourse area, that could be appealing to those on the fence about attending and not wanting to be sitting shoulder to shoulder with someone else.
They could make some of the less popular areas of the venue designated for the socially distanced sections.
I saw that replay too lol. I just read the first line, didn't see the 2nd line about his GS.Comment

I noticed in Jays games at Yankees Stadium and now Texas too that pitchers are turning around a lot to check their pitch mph.
Just a little thing, but seeing how many stadiums have led boards all around the bottom of the upper deck, perhaps they could add the mph and pitch count there as well for the pitchers?Comment
