Oh right I know.... Just all the talking heads said as soon as Ohtani and Yamamoto sign, everything will move.

Boras has the top 6 FAs or w/e, so it's all on him now.

Maybe it's me but I'm actually warming up to the idea of a salary cap in baseball.

It's not about the salaries (though...let's be real, $700M for Ohtani? How much are those Dodgers tickets gonna increase now?). I'm just tired of FAs running to the Dodgers or Yankees all the time because they have the deep pockets. Can we have some parity?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

If anything, just have stricter luxury taxes.

But you also need a floor as well. It's one thing for teams to pay everyone, but you also have teams who aren't holding their own weight and have little intention of paying their own guys.

Obviously don't have a hard cap, the NHL is proof as to how much that anchors markets (good markets who can spend aren't able to, while poor markets who can't spend just take on dead weight cap hits as a loophole, and states being taxed differently means some have advantages over others).

          Jays signing Yariel Rodriguez.

26 year old Cuban reliever playing in Japan.

Surprisingly first Cuban born pitcher in franchise history (at the majors level)?

I'm surprised if that's true. Feels like Jays have gotten guys from everywhere in their history.

Edit-Guess it makes sense? Since Jays entered the league there hasnt even been 50 Cuban born pitchers in the majors. A guy like Kendrys Morales doesn't count.

Sounds like it’s done; 5/$95M. Solid deal for both parties.

Pirates reportedly singing Aroldis Chapman to a 1 year 10.5mil deal. Ok I guess? They have no starting rotation.

I guess the Cubs were hibernating.
Maybe they are moving Busch to 1B

I really do not understand what the Cubs are doing.

What was the point of taking Counsell from us if you ain't gonna do **** to improve the team?

Hope they enjoy another 3rd, 4th place finish!
