I love it how they say they want to get rid of all illegal drugs that may harm our youth, because they are so dangerous, yet one of the most dangerous drugs in america is still legal. But hey, if you can't make money off it, it must be illegal.

Bunning is preaching up a storm!

Penalties should be 1month suspension for 1st offense, a year for the 2nd, and banned from the game for the third. And all statistics and records made while on steroids will be wiped clean. Very nice.....

Also saying that if MLB doesn't want to play ball with them, they would take away the Anti-Trust exemption...

Yeah, its a bunch of diengenuous crap. If they were to make some stuff legal it might be better controlled and therefore safer than the status quo. But Ive heard a couple of variations on why hemp was outlawed (and not because its unhealthy).

If you're reffering to alcohol, it's not a drug per se. Government has banned it before but as we all know it led to rampant organized crime.

Anyways back to the topic at hand. Jim Bunning's opening statement is quite eye opening considering he was a former ballplayer.

Cigarettes, and Nicotine in general, is what I was referring to.

ah in that case I kind of agree but remember it was promoted as a healthy and refreshing product in the '50s!

Ok, one issue. Gettin better in your later years does not mean you are on steroids. I don't think Unit is on steroids, and Schilling surely isn't on them, yet they have been better in their later years, than in their early years. Moises Alou as well, unless they feel he is on steroids.
