I was more touched by the Garibaldi's story. The mother really got to me with her testimony. Mr. Hooton is quite serious as you said. The statistic about HS football players and steroids just blew me away.

It escaped me (kinda hard to retain info and pay attention when watching this and the NCAA tourny!)

Tho here's something funny, The medical advisor to MLB said their drug policy compares favourably to the policies of the NHL, NBA and PGA! First of all the NHL has the worst policy in all of pro sports, The NBA doesn't deal in steroid testing but more in drugs like weed and coke and the PGA doesn't really need such a policy but hey I guess they're doing something right? (sarcasm)

That is crazy. Im not sure if I believe that or not. Maybe I just dont want to believe it

exactly, i think its himself who's hiding behind baseball, some of the parents need to take a hard look at themselves as to why so many highschool kids are on steroids, don't always look for someone else to blame.

The girl Dr. Yokum(sp?) I thought was interesting that she said something like if you are angered and take steriods. When you get upset the steriods will take over with the anger and you loose your judgement to just walk away if you were choosing to do so.

so my comment on that part is that if that's the case...then if you look at the atheletes who have done things in the stands that could be acts of Steriod use. Also what is going to happen in the next few years when the Gene inhancement is fully avalible to any given athelete...that will eventually make atheletes like cyborgs. So will every fan who goes to a game be at risk of any athelete jumping in to the stands? Will MLB finally turn in to the Video game Product like "Slugfest", Because atheletes will not be able to control there tempers if hit by a pitch?

Is MLB going to eventually turn into a video game so to speak? Because it sounds like it could if steriods impare judgement.

I can't believe how prevalent steroids are. I also can't believe that vetenary (sp) grade steroids are still being used. This is mostly for the teens that end up taking the stuff. It's also interesting how the FDA is concerned over Canadian drugs going across the border but they're not doing anything about this steroid trafficking problem. Most of these steroids are coming from across the mexican border and thru internet sales.

2. There is a 'list' of steroids that are banned. If there is any slight moderation (designer steroids) to any of these that are found, the test is considered a 'negative' and it is as if nothing happened. If anyone is to add a new substance to that list both the league and union must agree! ANd that happens a lot, I know that will be a priority.

Big suprise, MLB = Joke. In other news Frank Thomas and Schilling will be appointed to a steroid task force. More to come.... oh and Sammy's in the builing....
