I actually think steroids would've hindered rather than helped Aaron as his power was thru his wrists. The added bulk of roided up arms would've probably slowed his swing down some.

If you've read Aaron's book you'd know his power came from his wrists and forearms which were strenthened by his hands being crossed over (left on top of right for right-handed batters) in his amatuer and early professional years.

If it's one thing that I've learned from watching these hearings, it's that you do not have to have an IQ above 42 to be a professional baseball player as exhibited by Sammy Sosa's testimony.
