Nah I'd rather not rethink what I posted.

I will stick by what I said.

Ok, you're right maybe they do have hearings on it.. but I don't see squat being done.

I don't have to watch CSPAN or sit on panel hearings to know that either.

    Thank you very much

Just saw the recap on Sportscenter. McGwire and his attorny made a poor choice, no comment = guilty in most people's eyes. Oh well, I'm sure everyone's already discussed this here, I just dont' have time to go through all 10 pages, just adding my 2 cents.

That Congressman and the goofy guy in the glasses and buck teeth (not sure of his name... not Selig... not Fehr.. not Alderson... the other guy) are getting into some heated arguement.

Goofy Guy- "Well if i can begi-"
Congressman- ""Don't begin. Mr. Selig you answer."

lol at that one congressman who likes the Orioles and sucked up to Sosa and Palmeiro. They barely got anywhere so far and Canseco continues to just compare taking steroids to drinking cups of coffee, this whole situation is ridiculous.

Fitness is fitness, no matter how you work out or what you work out with. The only differences today are the video enhancements and clubhouses.
Yes what you said was childish....when your only explanation to modern medicine and equipment your answer was simply roids. I know HS kids that could have come up with a better thought out explanation than just roids.

Furthermore, I dont need to know you, nor do I wish to know you. You seem like that guy in the bar who has a smart-a$$ reply to anything anyone has to say. Everyone else on this thread didnt spark a fire under me because they actually came up with a solid rebutal/discussion in most cases...

The MLBPA strongest union...Well why not just throw every Large sports Union in there also? NFL, NBA, NHL (for whatevere they're worth)...I dont agree they're the strongest union especially when theres 3 other unions right in the vincinity. Once again you dont look beyond the scope of things. There could be a much better argued case for the Shoreman's Union which cost the country a few years back Millions of dollars a day....Steel Union is another that can be made a strong case for. Are you literally saying the MLBPA controls the prices of tickets??? WTF!!! Thats the owner's job to approve a ticket price increase or decrease...Owners decide who to pay and what to pay....why do you think Beltran didnt get the 10yr 200Mil contract he was asking for?? Because the owners decide everything...I didnt see the MLBPA come out and publicly say Beltran is deserving of the contract we say you pay him...

Do I think modern medicine has improved over the years.... YES!!
Fitness is Fitness??? You're 30+ you said. You have to be off your rocker to even sit here and say our modern day weights and knowledge of the human anatomy has not increased strength and endurance of our players today. Even the knowledge of vitamins and supplements were not known back in the 1950-1960...Guys in that day an age rarely worked out because they thought WEIGHTS WOOULD SLOW THEM DOWN with bat speed and on the bases!!!

Medicine itself has come along way...TOMMY JOHN SURGERY is one thing and it becoming a career saving procedure...Arthroscopic surgery which was not present till the early 90's..Just the simple ability to treat and diagnose injuries especially MCL/ACL injuries. All these helping the modern ball player play more games....I cant believe your only thought of major change is clubhouses and video enchancements...

Does anyone in this thread think this guy is fighting a losing battle?? Or is it just me
