That was a dandy of a game today. Hopefully after tomorrow Wake doesn't have the distinction of being the only starter without a win.

Is it me or do the Red Sox seem really fun to watch this season? And I'm no longer nervous about going into the 9th in a save situation. I just think of a closer as someone who can throw heat not someone like Foulke who throws 87-88 mph fastballs.

Missed my first game of the year tonight thanks to the rain delay/party, but I read up on it and sounded great. How'd Papelbon look?

Awesome. He jammed Tejada and got him to pop up which is pretty good. Then the next guy popped up then he struck out Kevin Millar and looked nasty with 97 mph fastballs and he threw a good slider that bounced in front of the plate but came back and threw a nasty one right after.

Yeah, Paps looked good out there, but so did Schilling and I really think that is huge. If Schilling can keep throwing this weel, the offense will come around and this could be a really good season.

I believe that was his Split that bounced in front of the plate. He was actually throwing the split pretty well and just missed K'ing Millar on it.

Meh, I'm not crazy about today's lineup. Youk is on fire right now, he shouldn't be on the bench. Hopefully they get it done though. Apparently Crisp hurt his hand on the stolen base attempt of third. Hopefully it doesn't linger and he's good to go for the opener.

2 errors so far. 1 went right through Lorettas legs and another 1 when Gonzalez went to turn the double play the ball came out of his glove when he was transfering it to his hand. So it's 1-0 Baltimore but if it wasn't for the errors Wakefield would be doing pretty good. Bard is doing a better job of catching him to wich is great news.

Nice getting out of the box there, Snow.

Then he almost got caught off 3rd. He needs to concentrate a little more on the basepaths.

Stern with the RBI single. It's amazing thie Orioles didn't break this one open with all the baserunners Wake's had on.

Littel small ball for the Sox with Gonzalez bunting to advance the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Then Stern drove in Snow on a single. 1-1

Yeah I know. When I saw Hernandez set-up outside I knew he going to third base. Apparently Snow didn't...

Nice sacrifice by Gonzalez and better execution by Stern to drive the run in with a single. And an error on Gomez gives us the lead!
