Yes, he is still considered a rookie.

That was a big win for the Sox, as you have to figure they have the edge going into tomorrow with Beckett vs Chacon.

How about Mirabelli? He may have went hitless, but no passed balls. Probably would have hit the coke bottles if this were July, though.

Why does ARod make so much money again? Why was he the MVP last year?

Because Ortiz doesn't play in the field

That worked out well for me as I would not have been able to see the game tonight. Too bad it won't be made up until August and since it will be during the day I probably won't get to see it anyways. The other drawback is that the Yankees aren't playing well right now (especially in night games, for some reason) but then again, Beckett hasn't been too stellar his last two starts either.

The delay also gives us the matchup of the aces tomorrow with Halladay vs. Beckett.

Anyone know if they plan on skipping DiNardo now that there has been a rainout? They should.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. Tito was talking about it this morning but I'm not sure if he said they were skipping him or just swapping him with Beckett.

Sloppy start for Beckett so far, he's walked two and hit a batter in the second to load the bases with one out. His fastball has been all over the place and he's throwing a lot of first-pitch balls.

And there's the 2-run double for Aaron Hill, a guy who came into the game hitting .190, yuck.

And now a sac fly makes it 3-0. Lets hope the rain starts coming down...
