    Loretta grounds out, game over.

Twice in the game the Red Sox had the tieing run on third base with less than 2 outs, and both times the batter struck out. The two-run homer for Crawford, on an 0-2 pitch with 2 outs, sealed this one though.

On to the Yankees in Boston tomorrow. With Sheffield out of the Yanks lineup Giambi will probably be the biggest threat.

Speaking of Giambi, I'm curious what his drug of choice is these days. I highly doubt with him supposedly "clean" now that he's back to raking the way he was when he was using PED's.

        Mirabelli is back!

Sox traded Bard, Cla Meredith and a PTBNL. Mirabelli will catch Wake tonight.

Looks like Mirabelli won that bet with Peter Gammons.

Mirabelli will be in the starting lineup to catch Wake tonight. Let's hope the reunion gets this team off the schnide.

How far has Cla Meredith fallen? They were high enough on him to bring him up as a 22 year old last year. He gets shelled, we didn't hear his name for a year or so and now he's a throw in, in a trade for a backup catcher.

I got woken up this morning by my friend Caroline who was excited about Mirabelli being back. I think Boston is the only place where people get excited over a backup catcher.

Yup. At this point, they need all the help they can get though. He's a guaranteed standing O tonight.

Mirabelli for Josh Bard was a completely UNFAIR trade. It should have been Mirabelli and BOCHY for Bard.

Thank You Red Sox for taking back Mirabelli. I just wished it wasn't for another catcher. Maybe just a bag of cracker jacks would have been better.

I'd gladly take Mirabelli over Bard.

Maybe tonight, we wont have runs scoring without the Yanks actually getting a hit.

Why has Coco Crisp been out so long with a broken finger? We need him to come back so we can move Youk down in the Batting Order so its not 3 automatic outs at 7-8-9.
