Dewon Brazelton SUCKS. He should be in minors instead of the majors. How the hell did the Devil Rays actually get someone decent for him?

Sean Burroughs is nowhere near decent... even if he was healthy he was still behind Ty Wigginton on the third base depth chart. Unless you call someone who will always hit the ball to LF a decent player.

The Padres have yet to win a game that would be close enough to merit a save opportunity. So far it's been blow out or get blown out with the exception of two close games.

In other news, although I haven't seen an article on this yet, it looks like Brazelton has made his final start as a Padre (for a while that is). Clay Hensley is scheduled to pitch Tuesday instead of Brazelton.

Yup Braz has been moved to the Bullpen untill he finds himself and in the mean time Clay will finally get his start that he has been chomping at the bit for sometime now.

Also people are blaming Doug Mirabelli for part of Dewons outings. Since hes the one that has caught him, apparently he can't call a game since for years all he did was catch knuckleballs. So the blame is now 50/50...50% Braz and 50% Doug

Hmm. How many times have we seen this. Peavy pitching his heart out, only to see the Pads get 2 hits and 0 run in 7 innings.

Too many times and it is really annoying.

Can't blame them when Smoltz is on the other side pitching his heart out. Classic pitching duel.

Sadly it's because they don't have anyone better to fill his role.
