Also , Im watchin this game on mlb.com and What were they thinking let Brazleton hit there in the 5th inning?
The Padres have gotta have maybe one of the Worse Lineups in baseball tho after watching this game, They have Pretty much no one who can scare a pitcher..Maybe Brian Giles but just i dont know anymore
Xavier Nady for Mike Cameron? I still dont understand that trade, But I do expect Nady to fall back to Normal Life here soon, But hey you never know He's supposed to have the potentialComment

Re: Official San Diego Padres Thread - 2006
Bring on the D-Backs. I don't know if there's a bigger division rival I hate more than the D-Backs. Even though the members of the 2001 "breaking up the no-no in a close game" incident between Ben Davis, Curt Schilling, and Bob Brenly, that event leaves a distaste for fans of both teams. In a more recent event between the Padres and D-Backs, back in 2004 when KT inquired in trading for Steve Finley, the GM for the D-Backs who was in the upper echelon didn't forget that incident and decided to stick it to the Padres by demanding both Padres covetted relievers Scott Linebrink and Akinori Otsuka. The Padres, finding the trade unrealistic and risky, decided it was more valuable to keep two of the best setup men at the time instead of trading them for a two month fix. The D-Backs would then trade Steve Finley and Brett Mayne for Koyie Hill and minor leaguers Bill Murphy and Reggie Abercrombie. The only player remaining on their respective team in that trade is minor leaguer Bill Murphy.Comment

Wow! This is one pretty active thread!
Anyways, I don't mean to get too terribly off track here -- especially with the amount of pages this thing has grown -- but out of curiousity, I was wondering how the old Padres players are doing these days?
Adam Eaton, Brian Lawrence, Sean Burroughs? Anyone still following through with those guys too?Comment

Wow, it's not everyday you see someone give up four runs and almost get a complete game.
Brandon Webb is very good, I'm not surprised by how he pitched against the Padres. However, his record against is pretty deceiving (2-3 now).Comment

You have give credit to park, he pitched a good game just to bad we have NO ONE that can drive in freakin runs. Come on 2 Runners on, 1 Out...Giles up and he strikes out and then Piazza hits a lazy fly.
Webb has for some reason always pitched good against the pads and he pitched good again. Well tonight is the Jakes turn...Lets get a WThe DuCross Brothers: Sports Internet Talk Show
