Can't tell you how much it hurt to see Nady rope that double down the line.

This team is putrid, and might lose 100 games this year.

If I see another bases loaded no outs situation end up in 0 runs again, I may snap. That happens WAY too often with this team. They simply don't hit.

Peavy pitching lights out, only to come away with a loss or a ND, vecuase the Padres can't score is getting very very old.

Could you please get off of this Nady Bandwagon? The kid is doing the samething he did last year and even last year he started off better, but then went cold and never could find himself to crack the starting lineup because he went so cold. If Nady is still doing what he's doing into sept. Then you can praise him, but until he shows he can be consistant...I will never give him props like you do.

Also the Padres would never have given up the 6 runs in the 8th inning if Piazza was back there.

Just got back from the game.

The whole Petco experience is frustrating beyond words, but then you throw in the crappy product the Padres put on the field and it's worse. PetCo is easily the poorest designed and planned out of all the "New/Old" stadiums, if you know what I mean. Too frustrated to post now, but I think that will probably be my last trip to that park for some time to come. The Padres will not see another dime from me for a while, for a myriad of reasons I will get in to when I am not this pissed off.
The only thing I liked about the one and only time I went to see a game at petco was Park in the Park. My son and I had a blast. I went from having season tickets in 98. 1999 - Whenever they moved into the new ballpark, about 30 - 40 games a year to 1 game the last 3 years. They simply priced out the blue collar worker at petco. I would drop about $150 to $200 a game. You can tell by the lackadaisical fan reaction at petco the fans are weak. When they can commit to a quality product. Then and only then will I consider giving them my hard earned money.

If someone were to tell me that the Padres would end up getting a third catcher right when this happened... I don't care how good Barfield played/will play this season... I would be pissed. That is looking more and more like a wasted move.

Can't tell you how much it hurt to see Nady rope that double down the line.
Hey, it helps my YBL team that he's on. He was overmatched against Peavy though but still.

What's even worse is that it I think this year it's always been the bottom of the order with men in scoring position... what the hell is Magadan having these hitter's weak approach with bases loaded situations? It's been like this each year since they moved to Petco Park.

So you're basing this on what? His whopping 326 ab's. I think something is said for not having to worry about if you go 0 for 4 you won't be in the lineup the next day.

You act like the Padres giving up on a young player, and having him tear it up, is some sort of unprecedented event. Newsflash, it's something the Padres have excelled at for the last 30 years.

And I tell you what, I can praise him whenever I damn well feel like it. Guy has outhit every single player on our roster this year, and the guy we got for him, who by the way is about a .250 lifetime hitter, not only hasn't played a game yet, but is not a better hitter than Nady, and has been a strikeout machine his entire career.

Completely agree. I haven't bought a 20 game pack since they moved to Petco. Prices are ridiculous, it's a pain in the *** to get to, it's a pain in the *** to park, and it's a pain in the *** to get out of downtown. 7 dollars for a 12 oz Coors Light plastic bottle? Ridiculous. We got the tickets last night for free, but the face value on the tickets were 45 bucks. Why would I shell out that kind of money to see such a ****ty product on the field?

We were duped when we voted for that park. All the promises about being committed to winning, and spending money to acquire legit players was horse****. The Padres simply got over on the San Diego voters and fans, and I feel like a complete jackass for backing them during the vote.

Being overmatched by Peavy is not a club that Nady is exclusive too. Jake made some pretty good hitters look bad last night.

I would have rather kept Loretta and had him as insurance for Barfield and Castilla at 2nd and 3rd. I have no confidence in Castilla at this point.

As far as not giving up 6 runs just because Mirabelli was in there. Pure speculation. And the sad part is they did give up 6, and wasted yet another great Peavy performance.

This team is a bad bad team, and the outlook does not look good for them getting better any time in the near future.

Nady did this last year newsflash and he will tank sooner or later. Its not pure speculation about Mirabelli lack of calling a game and the pitchers getting rocked so far its a fact, every time Doug comes in you can put your bottom dollar that our pitchers are going to get lit up. You haven't seen our pitchers get lit up when Piazza is playing and Bowen playing (whos been a good surpise). You think its a coinsidence that when Doug comes in we get crushed?? Bob Scalan is right to call out Doug and I am for one not going to back off of doug either untill he proves me wrong. He needs to go on the DL and I hope he does to make room for Cameron.

Also if pitchers would learn Nady's weakness dude can't hit a high fastball. He is prone to swing at those and 9 out of 10 he would strikeout.

This team as potential to be better then what they were but, the dang runners left on is as bad as last year and thats just not going to cut it. You can not leave 15-20 runners on base every single night. When we finally get good pitching we have no one that can drive in runs. How much are we paying giles to work the count 3-2 with runners in scoring position? he should be a #2 hitter if he wants to do that. sometimes it works sometimes its just stupid

What, you think pitchers all of a sudden forgot where the hole in his swing is? Doubtful. Lots of players have started slow, and got their groove swinging the bat, when they get some full seasons under their belts. Nady very well be one of them. You think Cameron is going to be a more productive hitter? When has he ever been anything more than a strikeout machine? And there's a lot bigger body of work to go on with Cameron than Nady. Not to mention as pitiful as our lineup is, if Nady can break in to the Mets lineup, he's surely good enough to break in to ours.

This team is pure ****. And really has no one in the pipeline that looks like they are going to make it much better.

Nady was competing against Victor Diaz...lol...You better beat him out. Who could he beat in the padres??? Not Giles, Not Klesko and he couldn't take Dave Roberts.

I don't know what Cameron can do...But, I do know that he is a far better OF then Nady will ever be. Who said Nady started off slow??? I said he started off fast last year and this year, He'll fade. I am glad that you hold Nady on this high pedestal that’s cool because he’s your boy and you are fan of him. I was a fan of his just like I was with Knott but, Nady has flaws in his swing and same with his Defense.

This Ballpark...has some how has put a fog into the hitters heads. They are professionals they shouldn't allow a park to attack them mentally.

Nady would esaily beat out Dave Roberts. It's the stupid overblown rule of needing a speedy guy to leadoff.
