Not trying to be an ***, but I'm loving Mark Loretta in Boston so far. He won it yesterday with a walk off and had another productive night tonight. He seems like a real professional hitter and has been smooth around the bag at second. Is this what we can expect all season?

Fenway park should help his slugging percentage, but does a great job with handling pitches. He knows when to turn on a fastball or when to wait on it and line it the other way if there is a man on first. He's great at moving runners up too. One of the best situational hitters and clutch hitters in the game. The injury to him last year really curtailed his offensive numbers and defensive ability, but nonetheless he is solid at second base... had a few gold-glove worthy years in San Diego.Comment

Pretty good pitcher's dual so far. Peavy's pitch count it pretty high though.
So far Dave Roberts has been doing much of the offensive attack this game.Comment

Doug Mirabelli needs to go...He can't call a game no wonder why Boston only used him to catch Knuckleballs and spot start, Because guy is a joke behind the plate in terms of calling a game. The DuCross Brothers: Sports Internet Talk Show

Just got back from the game. The whole Petco experience is frustrating beyond words, but then you throw in the crappy product the Padres put on the field and it's worse. PetCo is easily the poorest designed and planned out of all the "New/Old" stadiums, if you know what I mean. Too frustrated to post now, but I think that will probably be my last trip to that park for some time to come. The Padres will not see another dime from me for a while, for a myriad of reasons I will get in to when I am not this pissed off.Comment
