At this rate you just don't know which Pad hitter is going to show up or even which pitcher will show up on any given night....if that makes sense?

Sadly. I've been a fan of this team since as far back as I can remember, which is about 1977 or so. Kevin Towers and the front office continues to make me more and more of an Angels fan with every passing year. I've always followed them as a secondary team (since they were telecast here as well), living in Carlsbad, where I am about halfway between both parks, why should I spend my money and time watching what the Padres run out on the field, when just as far away, I can go see the Angels who have an Owner and a front office that appears to be committed to winning and contending for titles?

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Actually if you're a Padres fan, this makes perfect sense.

What's a interesting thing..I am actually a Angel Fan first and for most, as I grew up in Santa Ana. But, I have found the Pads as a second team, because they are closer to where I live now in Escondido...so getting out to Anaheim is now a further drive.

So, because the Pads are my 2nd team...I look for some type of positives rather than negatives. But that's just me.

Yeah I am just the opposite. The Angels have always sort of been my "A.L" team. I was never as big of a fan as I was a Padres fan,but I still followed them, dating back to the days of Bobby Grich, Doug DeCinces and Brian Downing. But the thing is with Petco being all the way downtown, it's just as easy for me to get to Anaheim's stadium, and they have better parking there. Their owner is for good reason considered one of the best in baseball, even going so far as to lower beer prices. With the Angels I always get the feeling they are trying to build a contender. I just haven't gotten that feeling from the Padres since 98.

Plus the Angels do seem to stick it to the Yankees year in and year out. Always a plus in my book.

BTW, the Halos just took a 3-1 lead on the Unit and the Yankees in the bottom of the 5th on a Adam Kennedy 2 run triple.

Arte Moreno not only has lowered the beer prices also, he has lowered some of the ticket prices over the years to draw more fans and what have you. I have only been to 1 Padre game since they opened that ballpark..I am planning to go and see a game with in the next few weeks though. But I also have to find the time and get back out to Anahiem.

That's right about the ticket prices. Moreno, has deservedly gotten the reputation as being one of the best owners in the game.

I will say this, I do really like Petco park, it's a nice park, but the Angels did a great job, when they refurbed the Big A several years back, it's a great place to watch a game imo.

Yeah, I like the seating arrangement at Angel Stadium though over Petco and I like that the Angel Stadium put in all the fun games for the kids is a plus too. There is so much you can do there. Also shouldn't this be in the Angel thread?

                            Is there an Angel thread.

Not much more to talk about as the Pads are getting stomped again tonight.

I dont' think it matters what thread it belongs. There's nothing better to post about anyways.
