And Adrian Gonzalez just dropped a pop fly in foul territory that would have gotten us out of the inning.

I forgot to also mention Mike Jacobs in my post earlier...

Nice to see the bats come alive. Bullpen came in and held a lead.

Would have been nice to see Woody go longer than 5, give some of those guys a break.

Too bad the game wasn't on TV, but it's nice to see Khalil break out of his slump.

It was on TV if you have DirecTV and the MLB package..

The games are so early. Maybe the Marlins will be able to tee off more than 3 runs against Brazelton tomorrow.

Jeez, I really feel bad for Marlins fans, $15 million on the payroll and they're still looking to cut it down more?

Marlin Fans welcome to Montreal......Fat Toad is doing the same thing he did to the Expos but, anyways. It was nice to see padres continue to belt on the Marlins and Man AG continues to show up wow. 4-5, 2 RBI.

Come on Dewon...Show up tomorrow, act like its preseason...Start all over now and move foward

So far it's been the youngsters that have been doing the damage, Adrian Gonzalez (they need a better nick name for him instead of A-Gon), Khalil Greene and Josh Barfield...

Too bad we can't see what Ben Johnson can really do, but I really want to see what Terrmel Sledge can do in a full season. Send BJ back down to AAA to let him get some at-bats and work on his swing. Right now it wouldn't hurt to have another pitcher since we have a six man bullpen at the moment.

Speaking of BJ, his first start is tomorrow .

He'll be rusty... and I want him to be hitting against righties too, but like I said we've got Sledge so it's best for Johnson to stay in the minors and work on his bat as well as playing in CF once in a while.

I know I am in the minority, but I am not real high on Johnson. Maybe he'll surprise me, but I think if the Pads had a lot of confidence in him, they wouldn't have gone after Cameron and Sledge.

I agree, I reall would like to see what Sledge can do in a full season. He's got some pop, and that's something this team could use.

BK, you said your not high on Ben Johnson...well I am not sold on a 30 yr old injury plaqued player in Sledge. I would rather take my chances with Ben Johnson then Sledge.

I think the Padres are undergoing post-prospect-bust-trauma. They're hesitant to give him a chance, just like they did with Nady and to a lesser extent Jon Knott. They went after Mike Cameron because they wanted someone in CF and Johnson isn't an everyday centerfielder although like Giles he can play there if needed. Sledge was a throw in from the Rangers... I didn't even expect him to come but I really want to see Sledge play too... he did win a Rookie of the Month honor a couple of years ago.

TheTruth, Sledge is 29... and he put up pretty good numbers his rookie year. Right now I don't mind seeing either Sledge or BJ.

I would love Ben Johnson to finally get his chance as because everything I have read on him or heard about Johnson is that he came out of the same like draft class as Pujols and was dubbed to have way more talent than Pujols....Johnson is also considered a 5 tool player, but yet Ben Johnson was slow at progressing through the Minors where as Pujols launched way over Johnson into a Super Star. So Ben Johnson started to show some signs that he is finally ready, but he's getting over looked in the time he needs to show what he can do.
