bingo, I don't think Glavine can eat up innings anymore. I think MAine and Perez can and will have to.

Maine's a big reason why the bullpen sucks. His September stars have been....

4.1 innings, 6 earned runs
6 innings, 1 earned run
4.1 innings, 8 earned runs
5 innings, 3 earned runs.

To me, even the 6 innings, 1 earned run is unacceptable though I'd obviously take it. He only threw 102 pitches that game, and should have fought for the ball in the 8th.

The Mets bullpen stinks but the starters have been almost as bad. If you constantly want to force an overworked bullpen to get 12 outs or more, you're just asking for them to blow it.

everything he said. plus i have to say that i would like to see delgado, green, loduca, and the bullpen shown the door too. and at this point i wouldnt flip out if beltran was traded cause hes like my worst nightmare to see hitting in any type of important at bat. seriously you want to get beltran out all you have to do is convince him his at bat means something and then throw some curveballs.

As pissed as I am, Shawn Green, IF ANYTHING, deserves a contract for how well he's played this year. He played first base well while Delgado was out and you're just going to show him the door. Amazing.

Great job bringing in Conine - he provided such a spark with his bat...

Because they gave so much up for Conine. Before you write off this season, let tomorrow play out. A Mets win and a Phillies loss will have you singing a different tune. I'm all for it, if the Mets don't make the playoffs.

No Solid #1 Starter all year: OMAR does nothing to get-1

Sanchez goes down for the year: OMAR does nothing to get another solid arm in the bullpen

Mota has a couple of good games last year, gets suspended for Steroids: OMAR gives him a contract extension

FIRES Rick Down: OMAR hires Ho Jo (No hitting Instructor Experience) brings Rickey Henderson on board to mentor Reyes. Reyes basically turns to $#!T in the 2nd half & takes the METS with him...

You guys are right Willie needs to be FIRED
