Good points. I was just throwing it out there. To be honest, I didn't like the idea much but it was just a thought. He should be sent down. The kid needs to work on everything. Yeah, why not bring Cabrera up? I'd be okay with that.

NEWS FLASH!!!! NEWS FLASH!!!! NEWS FLASH!!!!

In case none of you saw this yet, THE REDS SUCK! Seriously you guys, they suck. I know we were all optimistic that this year would be something different, but it isn't. The Reds suck and they know it and now I for sure know it.

I know, I know...it's early. Heck it is only 2 weeks into the season. But wow, I really thought we would start the season out better than this. Even Harang is sucking this year.

Is it college basketball season yet?

Classy move by the Cubs fans to boo Dusty Baker and Corey Patterson the whole game.

Harang made too many mistake pitches tonight. At least when Bronson gives up HR's they are solo shots. All 5 of Harang's ER were from two HR's. The hitting looked awful tonight and so did the bullpen. Is that 4 losses in a row now?

Baker really needs to mix up the batting order already.

          Keppinger
          Phillips
          Dunn
          Griffey
          Votto/Hatteberg
          Encarnacion

A major rumor flying around out there about the Reds acquiring Mike Piazza. I really hope this is not true

That would be perfect. That way we can continue our stigma of being the team that will always give the washed up veterans a job.

Next thing you are going to tell me is that I have to stick a steak knife through my eyes...geez.

The only problem with this lineup, or any viable lineup right now, is that whoever hits in front of EE will never get a pitch to hit and there will always be at least two guys sucking...EE and the guy in front of him.

I know he had 1 hit last night, but I believe his "next great 3rd baseman" stigma ship is about to sail. I have been hearing for 3 straight years the kind of upside he has and that he can be great, but I have yet to see anything consistent. He sucked two years ago, he sucked in the beginning and last year and then got better (much better in fact) and now he sucks again. Bring up Cabrera or Green....please.

How can you possible say Harang is sucking this year?
He has a 3.33 era and 21 k's so far, he has allowed 2,2,1, and 5 earned runs in his 4 starts this year.
I would agree with you tho, I thought the Reds would get off to a better start.

A friend of mine told me that last night. I guess he'd be that RH guy at 1B if they bring him in? Great idea if it were 1998.

By the way, was anyone else ticked like I was in the 2nd inning when the Reds were hitting? Dumpster doesn't have good control, Phillips comes up and draws a walk. Good job. Dunn comes up and does the same. Good job. EE is up next, sets himself up with a good count, and rips one to left which drives in Phillips. Great job. Then Votto comes up. Dumpster throws him three straight junk balls which Votto swings at and strikes out on three pitches. Then Bako comes up, swings at the first pitch he sees, and pops to DeRosa. Now there are two outs. Then Harang grounds out. WTH? Weren't Votto and Bako paying any attention to the three hitters that came before them that worked the count? I was a little unhappy when I watched that. Terrible hitting approach by those two.

somebody had to fill the Dave Williams/Eric Milton role in the rotation, duh.

It was more out of frustration because I was hoping that Harang was going to right the ship. Instead he gives up a couple of dingers and 5 runs for the loss. I like Harang for sure and he has had some decent outings but something seems off with him this year. Seems to be walking more people than usual, unless I just never noticed that he walked a bunch of guys. But really I said that out of frustration more than me actually thinking that Harang is sucking. Still our Ace and will be our most consistent good pitcher.

I am starting to think that Fogg will be our most consistent bad pitcher. But I have to see if Arroyo sucks again this week in order to determine that.

Oh and please Dusty, can you just give Votto the starting job now? He is really starting to tear it up and we need all the hot bats we can get in the lineup. Even if it is against a lefty.

How about we just bring up Homer now to replace Fogg?
We might as well get Homer some major league experience now.
