I'm already resigned to the fact that he'll be traded either willingly or he'll force the Jays' hand in doing it.

If we do trade Roy we'll need one MLB talent and a super prospect on the cusp of entering MLB.

I'd also try to trade Burnett, Wells, and Zaun.

*sigh* On any other day, Rios doubles or triples in Stewart, Mench has a single and we have a few runs. It just seems when things are going poorly, luck piles on.

EDIT: FINALLY!!! A hit with RISP!!! It only took 31 innings for us to score again. Hopefully the offense can wake up after a big hit today. Way to get past the bad luck in the fifth and ninth.

Jerry Howarth and Allan Ashby were talking about the hitting near the end of the first game and if you really read between the lines a bit they were criticizing not only the hitters but Gary Denbo. In fact, Ashby said the hitting with healthier guys has been a lot worse then when Mickey Brantley was fired.

Just goes to show JP and his trigger finger misfired once again.

It has to have something to do with coaching, I'm not sure how else you explain a group of players like this either in or right before their prime who have already put up multiple seasons with good hitting numbers just falling flat. This team is a SABRmetrics nightmare.

            Holy Crap!

The Jays actually scored 5 runs!

Now let's see if they can hit better for an extended period of time.

2 hits with runners in scoring position, a home run, and a sac fly...Is this the Jays I'm talking about? Seriously though, I agree with you SPTO, now they need to keep it up. Another question, why did Gibby pull Litsch in the 6th inning when he had only thrown 70 pitches and only given up 3 hits?

You know things are getting better when Doc has his worst stuff of the year (BTW happy birthday Roy!) and the Jays win. Actually they got some real lucky breaks too such as Jesse Crain's misplay in the 8th that gave the Jays the 6th run of the game. So while the offense still isn't quite there yet they're starting to put up some runs.

Well, you need to win a few games that maybe you don't deserve to. God knows we've lost enough games we should have won already.

I can't find this afternoon's game on TV AT ALL...Oh well.

Here's something I wanted to mention last night but forgot to type it up. Anyone noticing that Roy is becoming a big strikeout pitcher again? I'm sure it's not totally by choice but his last 3 starts he's been putting up some impressive K/IPs. The great thing about Roy being a strikeout pitcher this time around is that he's now a pitcher rather then a thrower and if he's not getting the Ks he's more then happy getting grounders and flyouts.

                    It's just something i've noticed.

Clutch hit by Inglett!!! Series sweep in Minny, hopefully starts a roll with a tidy 4 in a row now.

Man...former Jay Jayson Werth single-handedly beat up the Jays

                        That was an ugly game.

Nice to see the Jays get back on the horse so to speak but boy oh boy can we end the Armando Benitez experiment ASAP? The guy nearly coughed up the game.

You wanna know why I love Halladay so much? Well just look at today's game. I mean, can you name any front line starter who'd willingly go out there after a long rain delay and pitch two innings of relief? The guy is just a gamer.

It really plays havoc with the pitching rotation but it's so deep that the Jays can get away with doing stuff like that. It's amazing how a team that lost the first 3 games of their road trip by a combined 21 (I think) to 1 score has come back with a vengeance.

Let's keep the success going boys! We're only 3 games out of the Wild Card spot.
