Where did you hear 2 starts? The Jays have off days the coming week so they wouldn't really need him like they would on regular rest. It's the 2nd time through the rotation where he'll miss the start. I do share your feelings though. I hope it's nothing more then just minor inflamation.

Hey at least the Jays scored 3 runs tonight!

The original article I saw said two starts, but he's been placed on the DL now which would mean at least 2 starts. Lind got the call-up, so it will be interesting to see how Cito uses him. Litsch battled but struggled too much with his command, its always tough on the batters when you're down 6-0 in the fourth and only have 1 hit. I liked what I saw from the offense a lot more than I have all season except that series against Boston, so hopefully Cito and crew can get this thing turned around especially with an off day to really take some time to get into the players heads.

Kevin Mench was also sent down and Brandon League has been recalled. It seemed to me that League was in Gibby's doghouse for some reason so it's nice to see him get a fresh start even if it's only for a little while.

Yeah, I'm glad Mench is gone. He was just eating ABs guys who are actually producing like Inglett and Wilkerson can now have. They're also much better fielders, so I think we have a better team now than we did then. That move leads me to believe that one of the BP guys like Tallet may need to make a spot start.

Today's game was much closer to what I expected this lineup to do. Great win for Cito V2!

Definitely, I love the big-time 2 out RBIs by Overbay(Finally!) and Rolen. McGowan struggled for one inning but managed to get the key out when he needed it, same goes for Frasor. Hopefully the offense can click like this more often than not, make things a little more exciting.

Is it 1993 all over again? Wow what an offensive explosion. I know I shouldn't be getting carried away but it's hard not to.

I don't know. Arroyo played a rather large part in that.

Yes that's true but i'm talking about the aggression the hitters had and the almost effortless and free n' easy swings they've had all night.

Wow, that was something else, wasn't it? I definitely don't expect this kind of explosion all the time, but it was nice to see a little power again for sure. Hopefully the guys start feeling good again and we can go on a bit of a roll.

Gotcha. Yeah, there was a lot of that. The "aces" go tomorrow night: Harang vs Halladay.

*sigh* Overbay shats the bed yet again with bases loaded and less than 2 out costing us the game potentially. Dishonourable mention to Rolen and Wolfe who both did absolutely nothing when they needed to be big.

Did anybody see Overbays post game interview on Sportscentre?

He said that he swung at a bad pitch because he was trying to be aggressive since thats what they told him to do. The way he had explained the situation made him seem deflated about what hes supposed to be doing out there. Just seemed sketchy.
