Well at least we showed some life, we shouldn't have been anywhere close in this game given that we didn't even get a hit until the eighth. Some numbers for you, Inglett's slam is just his 3rd homer in his career and he picked up 4 of his 34 career RBIs, or 12%. So now the million dollar question is whether or not we can carry any momentum into the next series.

It's amazing how this team does the exact same thing every year with the exception of the time when they finished second in the division. I don't know, it just seems like the time of year is synonymous with the Jays falling apart.

This is more for BP's benefit then anything else but you gotta love the Bobcat. He's in favour of a public triple beheading of Godfrey, JP and Gibby. Then he went on to say he would've fired "Dumbo" on April 3rd! It was just hilarious. He also went on a rant about the Leafs and how his friend Gord Kirke has ruined his reputation.

Classic Bobcat rant IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if parts of it is turned into a promo soon.

As depressing this season has been its nice to see Cito come home.

JP's debacle with Adam Dunn is completely embarrassing and clearly he had to do something to take some heat off him.

As i've said in the main thread about this, a part of me wants this to work.

                C'MON BACK CITO!

I always loved the guy and to a certain extent he was unfairly fired in '96.

Also fired were Whitt, Peavy, and Denbo (YES!!!). They are being replaced by Nick Leyva at third base and Gene Tenace returns as the hitting coach. Roving hitting instructor Dwayne Murphy will take over as the first base coach.

Kinda sad to Gibby go, but I guess something had to happen sooner or later to try to save the season.

Also, according to Sportsnet JP called Dunn to apologize for his comments.

As I said in the other thread it would've been nice if Cito could've gotten Barfield or Muliniks as hitting coach. At least Butter's still with the team. He's a damn good coach.

Butter and Arnie absolutely had to stay, smart move to keep them both.

Dunn will be in town next week hopefully he wont repay JP with a few moonshots off the windows restaurant.

Is tonight's game on the other Sportsnet channels? Unfortunately its not on Sportsnet West.

Every Jays game on Sportsnet is on every SN channel unless there's alternate programming such as the soccer game tonight.

Anyways here's my "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" from tonight's game

                          THE GOOD

                          - Looks like the aggressive approach fits Alex Rios to a tee as he got 2 doubles tonight.

                          - Thank the good Lord Roy is ok and is expected to make his next start

                          THE BAD

                          - On top of all the struggles offensively we're still getting the opponents making all world plays "sigh"

                          - Wasted yet ANOTHER great pitching performance

                          THE UGLY

I know it's going to take some time for everyone to be on the same page regarding the hitting philosophy but man this team is pathetic with a capital PA.

Yeah, I'm not overly concerned re: the hitting right now. If we're still hitting like this in a week then I'll be concerned. Echo on the Halladay thing, that could have been really ugly.

Dammit! Marcum out for at least his next 2 starts with a sore elbow, he's going to see James Andrews to find out if its more serious than that. The way things go for this club I'm automatically fearing a TJ surgery coming on...

Yeah, not good... The one thing that we have going for us, and our best pitcher this season goes down (no disrespect to Doc). Ugh.
