I would have liked to see a sweep as well but Sanchez is starting to struggle again. I know it's still early and the kid has got some good stuff. But Once he gets behind in the count he just loses focus on the hill.

I've always felt Sanchez is way too inconsistant to ever be a quality starter, he's yet to prove me wrong. I'm pulling for the guy though, but with the arms waiting in the minors, he better figure things out quickly.

He is really young it takes about 4 years to five years to learn how to pitch! He has nasty stuff. He will get it going!

Sandoval is a freaking STUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now is the time to go get a true 4 hitter. And you will win this division.

Really no need to start trading right now... I won't downplay the team, but unless its a Manny caliber bat.. a trade would probably hurt us more than it'd help us, specially since we'd be dealing away a pitcher. We all know what happened the LAST time we dealt for a bat while throwing away pitchers. Don't make the same mistake.

Yes he IS!!! Don't feed the PANDA! I was a few rows back from where he hit that 3 run jack to win it. Lovin' what I'm seeing from this team so far.

That's just silly talk man.. you're being sucked into the entire big name type of thing. Baseball is so much more than that, specially in a market like the Giants have. We definitely are the Yankees, so taking on contracts of 15m+ in place of guys that either havent reached the age of 20, or are just out of college... Think again.

Bumgarner is NINETEEN and flat out dominating. Regardless of what he becomes, he does possess the upside potential that people dream of. He's a lefty as well.

Posey has also shown to be something special. Since he's a converted shortstop, he's still somewhat learning to be a backstop, but definitely on the fast track. Great athletic ability too.

Now as much as I'd like to see the Giants compete RIGHT NOW, which trading for a huge bat would do.. I don't want to go through that process of possibly competing now, but sacrificing the future for it either. We've all seen it happen, why would we do it again? If management wasn't willing to part with Lowry, Sanchez, or Cain.. no way they throw out Bumgarner. Thankfully.

For Miguel or Howard I would do that in a heart beat! You have to give some talent to get some talent. Unless you sign them as a free Agent. Now is the time to go get a big bat. This division is wide open.

                      Cabrera makes 19m/year
                      Howard makes 18m/year

Neither would be traded anyhow, so it's out of the question. Bats that have been denied already include the likes of Rios and the possibilities of Holliday

This isn't the NBA. Tim Lincecum makes 650k. So guys that are coming up are a lot more valuable than ever, specially in a market such as this. The division is open to a certain extent, but the Dodgers are CLEARLY in a dominant position. Not to mention they're getting a huge burst come July.

MAN after these past two games in SD we definitely needs some bats. Zito is finally pitching well and even pitched a complete game. The only mistakes were the two bombs he gave up. Then Sanchez had a good outing as well last night. Sooo frustrating to watch them when we are starting to pitch well and can't even produce any runs. Looks like the pitchers need to hit the batting cage and start manufacturing their own runs like Cain did the other day against the Mets.

Unfortunately I don't see that as an excuse. These men are being paid millions of dollars to make outs, and I don't mean offensively (which they do, as you have probably read my rant). If he can't get it done, we find somebody else that can. Where's Lowry, by the way?

And there's all this talk about getting #4 hitters for $17.6 or $18.6 million more than what Bonds is asking? Some loyal fans ya'll are!

You're comparing active #4 hitters to BARRY FREAKIN' BONDS!? I know you love the man, but come on. The man is 40+ years old who can't even crack a minor league contract. SMH.

So let me ask this question to you Giants fans. When do you guys plan on taking advantage of the Mannyless Dodgers?

I disagree. The man hit in his last year of his contract, and if only they kept him you would have been proven incorrect. The only issue is the longer we wait, the weaker my argument becomes. I've been saying it for over a year now that we need to pick him up while we still can. At the end of 2010, there's no chance in hell, I understand. Now? He looks in as good of shape as ever since 2006. Give him a couple of AB's and BP sessions, rotate him through the outfield to get him back into baseball shape, and if he can play 7 out of every 10 games for us and just beat the opponents through the way of the walk, we will be more successful.

The only real problem is our biggest issues aren't our outfielders, but rather at 1st, 2nd and shortstop. Maybe he can play first? lol

And this would be a win-win-win. Even if he didn't perform, we wouldn't be in any more of a hole than we're in now. He would be extremely cheap (no loss) and we would start selling out again. Plus, Bonds is only 65 hits away from 3,000. Trust me... if he edged close enough during the final stretch of the season, he would push himself to play every day just to get it. He also wants that World Series ring. In short, he has motivation, and that's what we need.
