i had to watch the game on the rockies network and while they did give lincecum a lot of praise they talk as though jimenez pitched as good a game, but look at the lineup he was pitching against, you can't even compare them.

lincecums' velocity was definitely not there tonite, he was usually in the low 90's with his fastball, only saw him hit 95 once or twice tonite. hopefully his arm can rebound if he can get an extra day off, but will he cause unless they pick up a fifth starter somehere he won't. just goes to show just how good he his to be able to shut down a team like the rockies when he wasn't up to his standards.

Great game by Zito, i'm actually starting to believe that he'll pitch well every time out now, lol. To bad the rockies had to spoil his shutout, the 9th was far to tense at the end.

Nice sweep for us, but now it's where it really begins. We have a 6 game road trip here against Philly and Milwaukee while Colorado has a 10 game homestand against the Mets, Diamondbacks and Reds.. The day off does come at the right time though so we can go with a 4 man rotation. We also dodge Cliff Lee so.. there is some more hope.
