Rotoworld keeps mentioning that it's strained ribs. He's "healthy" and "ready to go" but isn't 100%. He says he wants to be 100% before getting back into the lineup.

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
the bullpen work was just shameful this weekend. Bailey, Volquez and Cueto should've all gotten wins but nope.
Cordero is an absolute BUM. can't wait till his contract expiresComment

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
No need to worry, we did take 2 of 3 from the Pirates.
We have been killing teams like the Pirates all year, hence being in 1st.
We picked up a game over the weekend on the Cards, magic # is 15.
6 games up with about 3 weeks left, I am feeling pretty good!
And Coco is not a bum, that was only his second blown save since the all star break.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
We'll be finnnee, just fine.
Everyone is so pissed at Cordero and yes he didnt do his job but the reality is his numbers are up there with the best closers in the league. My main point for posting though is that we should focus on the bad *** starting picthing we just saw.
Bailey, Volquez, & Cueto (aka Reds possible future top 3) combined: 21 innings, 9 hits, 1 earned run, 26 Ks
Its really fun to watch these guys trying to prove they deserve a spot in the playoff rotation.Comment

But I will agree that at this point, Bailey, Volquez, & Wood are battling for spots in the playoff rotation (with the 2 that perform the best joining Arroyo & Cueto)
Personally, I'd love to see Volquez and Wood. Volquez because if he can stay right, he's a no-hitter waiting to happen every time out, and a legitimate ace of this staff. and Wood because he's been nothing but solid since he came up. Bailey always worries me when he takes the hill because of his years of inconsistency in the past. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to throw a lefty out there to mix things up a bit.

Good win and Cards are losing again, safe to say the division belongs to the Reds?Comment

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
It's really looking that way. I'll feel better when the magic number gets under 10. Still, with the way the Cards have over the last month+, I don't see them making a run. They aren't playing with much fire at all.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
Bruce with two homers. This team never ceases to make me happy. A little worried about the playoff rotation; this looks like a regular season team that won't go far in the playoffs. However, I'll still be extremely happy if the Reds make it there.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)Comment

Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds
@LanceMcAlister If Reds go 11-7 (93-69) ....Cards must go 19-1 to tie
wow. Cardinals have to play Reds' August baseball just to get back in it. even if we finish under .500 September!
hopefully the Reds keep beating the teams they're supposed to beat and the Cards keep losing to the teams that they're expected to beat and we'll be just fineComment
