If I was Dusty he is sitting for a game or two.
He has looked beyond awful lately.
Great to see Frazier has been solid since starting, if he keeps around the .280 mark do you start Rolen over him when he comes off of the DL?

6-1 on the homestand, and up 1.5 games on St. Louis now, that's awesome.
Great to see BP starting to hit the ball too. Bruce, Stubbs and Cozart are all struggling pretty bad though.

Also took pleasure in $2 drinks for all Phils games.

My fiance' wants me to go to a Reds/Phillies game, but I told her no. I'm not wearing my colors in Philly. I've seen too much harassment and violence towards visiting fans. I wouldn't even be rowdy and arrogant if the Reds do play well, but I just don't feel like dealing with the bull****. She says I should just go and not root for my team, just enjoy the game. I told her it doesn't work like that. She really tried to argue with me about it! She doesn't understand that, especially in a place like Philadelphia, people treat sports like it's religion and it's a shame I'm too scared to get harassed or assaulted to be able to watch my favorite team in person for the first time.

I'd rather make the trip to Cincinnati to take in a few games with the support of my fellow Reds fans. That's a hell of a hike, but I think it would be worth it. Some day...
I feel the same way. After what happened to that Giants fan I've decided to always stay on the safe side when I'm rooting for the away team.

I've been to Reds road games in Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Detroit wearing their gear. Never run into a problem. Was I a little uneasy at all places? Kind of. St. Louis was the worst but I think that mostly had to do with it being only a month after the brawl with the Cards at the time I was there. Even then though the Cards fans weren't that bad. There were a few jerks and I saw a couple of confrontations with Reds and Cards fans after the game, but overall the weekend I was there wasn't bad being a Reds fan and all.

If you ever do that, make sure you post in here. Maybe some of us locals will meet up with you at the game or whatever.

            Will do.

I think Philly is a completely different animal than all those places. Especially with all the Phils fans nowadays. Too many bandwagoners there for the party.

Hey guys, haven't posted here in a little while but what a week for the Reds. I haven't been able to watch too many Reds games but the highlights I'm seeing it looks like attendance is really picking up and GABP has a very good atmosphere right now.

Hopefully the Reds can continue the momentum on this road trip, I hate when the Reds play the Buccos and Astros.

Actually Todd Frazier has been horrible since the Rolen injury.
He is only hitting .224 in his 19 starts this year with only 9 rbi's in 70 abs since he took over @ 3b for Rolen.
He doesnt get on base much at all only 3 walks since starting.

The funny thing is, that's still better than Rolen.

C'mon, Jackdog. Don't you trust Dusty? I'm sure he has good reasons for fielding a lineup with both of them starting.

                        This from Mark Shelton's Blog:
                        Frazier to the rescue

Reds infielder Todd Frazier certainly had an interesting meal at lunchtime on Tuesday dinner on Monday. Forget what he ate…Frazier saved a man’s life using the Heimlich Maneuver while at a downtown Pittsburgh restaurant with teammate Ryan Ludwick.

“I was talking to him and I see it out of the corner of my eye,” Frazier explained. “I said ‘I think that dude is choking over there.’ He was a little obese and there were two women side-by-side trying to give him the Heimlich. [Ludwick] said get over there because I was the closest one. So I went over there and was yelling at them to get out of the way. They did and I gave two pumps and it came out.”

The man had eaten a very large bite of steak, apparently.

“It was a big fat piece too, it was pretty insane,” Frazier said. “It was a good 30 seconds they were trying at least.

“He paid for our lunch, which he didn’t have to do and said thanks a couple of times. It was pretty surreal. I have never done that before.”

Anyone opposed to bringing Youk back home? He has a rather large contract, and his back issues worry me, but he'd probably be an upgrade over Frazier and Rolen at 3B. Part of me would almost rather wait until he becomes a free agent or if they can get the Sox to pay part of his salary...
