Idk, would we be criticizing Dusty for costing him a no hitter or a complete game? Or are you talking once the hits started coming?
Baseball is a totally different sport, it is a gentlemens game.
Guys dont do dances when they hit hrs like they do in football when a WR scores a TD. You trying to compare what Champman did to what a football player would do is just wrong and a horrible comparision. They are two different sports and totally different.

Like I said before, I don't buy that. Baseball is not on a pedestal for me. Pete Rose, the Blacksocks, and steroids has shown this sport deals w/ issues like any other sport. And in any other sport they celebrate. Golf, you have guys tossing a club in the air and dropping to their knees. Isn't that supposed to be a gentlemen sport? You can't even cheer most of the time during golf lol. Every other sport that's not frowned upon like it is in baseball. I'm sorry, I want the guys I root for to show emotion and have no problem if they do a little more than a fist pump.

It may just be different for me b/c I don't look at baseball as this pure sport, it's just another sport to me.

Again, you just dont get it.
Its not a put down at all aimed at you.
But you simply dont get it at all.
Even his own team mates had a huge problem with it.
As soon as they reached the club house Votto and Bruce had a very serious talk with him.

It's just two different schools of thought. Some want their guys to be classy and act like they've been there before, while others want to see the celebrations. And each to varying degrees.

I lie somewhere in between. I don't mind a guy getting pumped up, but the somersaults were just stupid.

I think Shiz gets it, but he doesn't understand why it's this way. There's just something old school about baseball that some want to keep alive while others want to modernize it. Just look at the replay debate.

                Great game by Mike Leake.

I'm glad the Reds turned things around last night after that measley perfomance on Thursday night.

Yeah that wasn't a fitting end to what honestly was a good game. I'm sure Jay feels pretty bad about those two fly balls, especially the game winner.

Looks to me like Cueto and Phillips got LaRussa'd in being left off the NL All-Star team.

sure seems like it. he doesn't seem to have a whole lot of fans on RedsZone or Twitter, neither lol

Indeed congrats. I think he just had a lot of expectation on him after what we gave up to get him. Personally I tried to give him some slack but it was getting frustrating especially after he got rocked in that Indians game.

It seems he is throwing his breaking balls better which I've heard is how he had so much success in San Diego. Hopefully he can keep this going and not be the pitching version of Jay Bruce as in league MVP for a month then awful for the rest of the season.

Also John Fey has a good blog post about the All Star snubs: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/reds/
