Yeah, is great he helped the team win but it won't take long before he is the same old player. He had consistently shown he is not going to get better. Would love to be wrong because he had the tools but I'll believe it when I see it.

Well in the past he's been an okay hitter. Oddly enough the advanced stats don't like his defense.

Couple of big time hits for Stubbs and some nice comeback wins for the boys.

I really think we're the class of the division. Pittsburgh is dangerous, and the Cardinals and Brewers are gonna hang around, but we're the most complete. Heck, I like us against anyone in the NL in a playoff series. Not saying we're a lock at all but this is probably the best team we've had in 15 years. It's the pitching.

The pitching has been great, but the offense hasn't been in the same league as the Cardinals' (can't believe I'm saying that). There's still two months left and a lot can happen, despite this nice little ten-game stretch.

Another sweep. That makes it 3 straight sweeps over NL Central teams.

Mark my words, I am saying it here on July the 26th.
The Pirates will be out of the race by August 26th.
They just dont have the talent to keep playing the way they have so far this year.
They were also in contention last year at this point and fell out really quick.

As for the Cards they still scare me, even tho they are 6 games back they scare me more than the Pirates do. With that being said i think the Reds will win this division pretty easy.

By the way I love CoCo!

I don't know about the Pirates dropping out all the way. The addition of Wandy Rodriguez will just strengthen an already strong pitching staff. I'm not worried about the Cardinals at all and when Joey gets back the lineup will only get stronger.

I'll say it now... THIS IS A PLAYOFF TEAM! Reds control their own destiny and they're gonna get it done, mark my words

I'm worried about both teams. Both are good teams and there is still a lot of baseball to be played.

I'm with you. I really like us, but Buccos and Cards can easily make up ground if we trip up. I'm not taking either of them lightly. But I will say... I'd rather be in our position than theirs.

This team (Reds) aren't immune to lapses and injuries.

Not only that but we if you pay attention, we are barely beating some of the worst teams around. I am very happy with the Reds overall but we need Votto healthy and the young guys to stay hot. The starting pitching has been good to very good all year and the relief pitching has for the most part been very good.

But as happy as I am with the Reds at the moment, I am tempering my excitement a bit. We are beating, just barely in some cases, some really bad teams at the moment. If we continue this against great pitchers, that we are sure to face, then my excitement for the team will grow.

Either way, right now we are in first and I am enjoying it.

Look if you guys want to have the standard Cincinnati attitude and worry your way through September so be it. Thats what I did in 2010 and then realized it didn't even really enjoy the season so I'm gonna chug the cool aid this years and have fun.

And another thing; the Reds have the second most wins in the NL and are the hottest team in baseball (besides maybe the As) and based on the national media you'd have no damn idea!
