What a year for Toronto's two biggest sports teams. Tease and collapse. At least I've had fun watching this Jays season. Going to enjoy the last month or so once the rosters expand.

Could the Jays really not have gotten Gordon Beckham?Comment

Re: 2014 Blue Jays
Daniel Norris' last start in Buffalo before going to the pen and being called up. There's even some whispers that Dalton Pompei might be a September call-up as well.
I wouldn't bother with Beckham so i'm not too fussed about the Jays not getting him. Why bother with a "change of scenery/project" guy when your team is TRYING to get into the playoffs?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2014 Blue Jays
This team is just a tire fire right now.
Rasmus sleeping in centre field and throwing to no one in particular; Bautista getting thrown out for arguing strikes in a one-run game; Janssen looking terrible; Santos getting the nod from Gibbons in a tie game; Horrible defense from Reimold; Getting two gift runners in the 10th inning and not being able to score the tying run from third with no one out.
It's just so painful to watch.Comment

Is it just me or has Casey Jannsen totally checked out and is itching to leave Toronto. He's been ATROCIOUS since the trade deadline.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2014 Blue Jays
I wouldn't be surprised if in September we'll see only 10-15k fans in the stands. AA and ownership screwed all our hopes and dreams and flushed it all down the toilet. Yeah, some of the blame should go to the players for letting the inactivity at the deadline get to them but I don't blame them. They were fed the same lies and BS from AA and Rogers that we were given.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
