What a year for Toronto's two biggest sports teams. Tease and collapse. At least I've had fun watching this Jays season. Going to enjoy the last month or so once the rosters expand.

You should try being a Raptors fan. Much more rewarding.

Could the Jays really not have gotten Gordon Beckham?

Daniel Norris' last start in Buffalo before going to the pen and being called up. There's even some whispers that Dalton Pompei might be a September call-up as well.

I wouldn't bother with Beckham so i'm not too fussed about the Jays not getting him. Why bother with a "change of scenery/project" guy when your team is TRYING to get into the playoffs?

He does have a .309 average against lefties this season tho, and that's something that the Jays have struggled with all season.

                He's a bench player

Yep, he'd be okay for a spell to fill in but he isn't a regular. I can't believe the Jays almost traded Halladay for him....then again, the actual Halladay trade wasn't the greatest either.

This team is just a tire fire right now.

Rasmus sleeping in centre field and throwing to no one in particular; Bautista getting thrown out for arguing strikes in a one-run game; Janssen looking terrible; Santos getting the nod from Gibbons in a tie game; Horrible defense from Reimold; Getting two gift runners in the 10th inning and not being able to score the tying run from third with no one out.

It's just so painful to watch.

Well, at least by this time next year I'd say it's 65-70% likely that Tinnish will b GM.

Is it just me or has Casey Jannsen totally checked out and is itching to leave Toronto. He's been ATROCIOUS since the trade deadline.

It's a puzzling decision considering he's awful at baseball.

I'm like the fan in Major League 2 who breaks emotionally only there won't be a Wild Thing resurgence to save the season because we suck

I wouldn't be surprised if in September we'll see only 10-15k fans in the stands. AA and ownership screwed all our hopes and dreams and flushed it all down the toilet. Yeah, some of the blame should go to the players for letting the inactivity at the deadline get to them but I don't blame them. They were fed the same lies and BS from AA and Rogers that we were given.
