Not hard to see where this is going. 2015 or bust.
The attendance hasn't seen much of a bump (actually I think it's flat lined) but the TV numbers have been through the roof at times. So at least they're generating great revenue that way.

You do have a point though, if Rogers didn't blow their wad with the NHL contract the payroll flexibility would be a LOT better than it has been this year. I do believe you're right. It's 2015 or bust whether that's with AA at the helm or not, we'll see.

C'mon Pelley grow a pair and crap can AA and Gibbons damnit!

Attendance isn't going to increase until, among other things, the Jays play somewhere accessible. The highway traffic is ridonkulous and doing the whole go to Union station and then walk for like 10 blocks thing is a bit of a pain in the ***.

The ACC is perfect because it's attached to Union Station, where people can go home, and most people don't have to drive home on the highway because there's a GO and Via Rail station in Union.

Oh and if people start ****ting on Hutchison I'm gonna get so angry. Hutchison has been our most valuable starter this season, or at least will be for like 10 more minutes before Stroman overtakes him.

(remember when you guys were concerned about him? lol)

        I mean since 2012.

Buehrle's a FA after 2015, and Bautista and Encarnacion have pretty attractive contracts through 2016. If the Jays get off to a bad start in 2015, I predict a full-on fire sale (those three plus Dickey and perhaps Reyes).

        Rogers doesn't want to pay 2 GM's and 2 managers for 2015.

If the Jays were to ever get a new stadium i'd want it to be by Woodbine as it's connected to the subway and there's some easy access if you're driving.

As for Hutch, I agree with you, there have been growing pains but he's going to become more consistent and the same goes for Stroman. I'm a little intrigued by the idea of going with the kids in the rotation next season with Happ and Dickey/Buehrle. (I think one of them will be gone next year)

I don't know if I want another rookie GM. I don't want somebody learning on the job. We've done that.

It's a bit of a moot point if the Toronto Sun article is correct.

Zaidi has been in the game for years.

And Pelley has spoken out about it so. Who knows.

$15 million a year for Melky? I'd take that in a heart beat.

If you're worried he's going to break down four or five years down the road, that's a very tradeable contract.

I doubt they'll be able to sign him for $15 million a season. There's crazy money in baseball and even crazier owners not named Rogers.

Apparently, cranky old man Griffin is making noises that Beeston will step down at the end of this season which would mean that AA and Gibby's jobs are not safe at all.

Holy cow. Just two hits tonight and the starting pitching has completely fallen apart.

I thought we were finally going to play some meaningful games in September. Guess I was wrong.

The Blue Jays of 2014 is like pirating a PPV signal in the early '90s and watching about 10 minutes of a porno til the signal scrambles again.

I effing hate being a Toronto sports fan sometimes.
