Re: 2021 Atlanta Braves
I was pretty shocked to hear Tom Glavine say in a radio interview yesterday that Smyly has been "really good this year".
Even ignoring his horrid April as well as last night's start, which would ignore over 20% of his games, he has still failed to go at least 5 innings in 6 of his other 18 starts.
And then of course we saw Toukki come out of the pen a couple nights ago. Which is frustrating both from the standpoint that this team should be focusing on getting prepared for 2022 instead of giving playing time to veterans who won't be here and from the perspective of competing in 2021 considering he had pitched pretty good in 6 of his 7 starts this season.Comment

So…we’re all agreed that Will Smith sucks as a closer?
Guy is going to cost us the division…

Re: 2021 Atlanta Braves
He’s already been called up and placed in the roster for the weekend. At first glance he’s 3-7 with a 3.64 ERA over 3 levels…the. You see he struck out 15 per 9 IP and see why they brought him up.

Re: 2021 Atlanta Braves
I still don't know how this happened. The Dodgers were definitely playing at a disadvantage both on the road and with their tired arms. Atlanta just won 4 out of 6 games despite only having a starter complete 5 innings twice. All while the offense struck out more than 11 times per game on average.Comment

Re: 2021 Atlanta Braves
The team was drastically under performing to start the year and we all got down in the dumps because of it. Hard not to when a team projected to win around 100+ and be in the NLCS can't do anything right for the first 100 games.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
