Re: Official Boston Red Sox 2005 Thread
I haven't seen any of the games with Schilling back but from the highlights I think closing isn't exactly his cup of tea. You really need a certain mentality for it. It seems to me that he needs 20 or so pitches under his belt before he starts cruising.
Any fans think i'm on the right track with this?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

The game was on RSN and from what I saw and from what Remy was saying, Curt was really not having any control of his pitches. I'm still not sure that you want to put him in a starters role, when he isn't pitching well at all right now.Comment

According to the Boston Herald, the Red Sox do not plan to recall Mark Bellhorn (thumb) from Triple-A when his 20-day minor league rehab assignment is over Saturday. Instead, the Red Sox will reportedly try to pass him through waivers, before assigning him back to Triple-A.
THANK GOD!

Re: Official Boston Red Sox 2005 Thread
Any thoughts on Papelbon getting the start tonight? I'm surprised they went with him after moving him to the bullpen in Pawtucket. Delcarmen went down to AAA.
They're going to have some serious roster moves in the next week or so. Papelbon is up, Olerud should come off the DL tomorrow. Nixon and Foulke both look like they'll be ready within a week or so.Comment
