You guys were lucky the rain came though. Since the game not going to be made up we'll see you guys in the playoffs.

Finally picked up a game on you guys. Even sweeter with Schilling as the goat tonight.

Looks whats happened to the Yankees and their fans, forced to root against the Red Sox on a nightly basis.

Schilling was awful though. He was starting to settle into this closer thing but the last three outings have not been good for Curt. It looks like hitters are sitting on his splitter and if he doesn't throw it in the dirt its getting hammerred. I wonder if he'll consider abandoning the pitch or if he's tipping it somehow, because its not the out pitch it used to be.

Not to be a jerk but.. unless you are new to this planet... its been the same way for years:

Yankee fans # 1 team- Yankees
Yankee fans #2 team- Anyone playing the Red Sox that night

              Same goes for the Sox.

Deeman said it all. I always root against the Red Sox, no matter what time of year it is. Thats what makes a rivalry...well, a RIVALRY.

I'd like to add to that...for our current situation.

Yankees fans #3 team - anyone playing the A's
Yankees fans #4 team - anyone playing the Angels
Yankees fans #5 team - anyone playing the Indians

Although its only mid-August, I'm already rooting against teams that could be vying for that wild card spot.

It's the same exact way for us...

The motto of Red Sox nation should be: "I root for two teams: The Red Sox, and anyone playing the Yankees"

Curt Shelling was shelled yet again. Sigh, this is perplexing indeed.

Petagine, who I have no hate for but don't think he is worth a roster spot when Olerud returns, really killed us by hitting into that double-play. Its simple, hit a fly ball in that situation.

Schilling will be get beaten around like a red headed step child when he returns to the rotation, I'd be willing to bet anything on it.
