& can anyone explain why they hit Matsui, when Diaz should have been the one to be plunked, if anybody?

I don't think Jacobs is going to put up insane numbers forever, but if he can be a fulltime player he should still put up some nice stats. He has a really good power swing, almost hypnotic actually. He's going to be 25 in the fall, but that just shows he was down in the minors way too long

He is also still learning how to play first base. He was a career catcher before this season.

welcome back human rain delay. Looper again can't get 3 straight outs.

well i guess someone told him to pitch a heck of a lot faster yesterday... can we say "bye bye" yet to Zambrano?

Considering he lost virtually all of last year to shoulder surgery, he's not doing too badly at all. It's way too soon to say he's the long-term answer at 1B for the Mets, but he IS off to a helluva start. At the very least, I'd like to give him the rest of the season to show what he can do over there.

Why would you want to say bye bye to Zambrano, I thought he has pitched pretty good as of late.

well I guess you can't win them all, but it would have been a huge win if we won today.

It is still amazing to me that they are even this close to the playoffs. They even still have an outside shot at the Division. Does anyone know how many games they have left with the Braves?
